so the other day i went down to sports authority to grab some lax balls. wile i was in the lax section i noticed that they had a triton...i thought that it was weird that such a nice head was at sports authority, and on top of that it had no price tag. i knew that the sell value was about $60 but i decided to ask any way...the guy at the counter sold the head and some cheap db shaft to me for....$12 dollars!!! WHOOOO!!!! MERRY X-MAS TO ME!!! so i wanted to know if any thing like this has ever happend to any one else?

yes, its called stealing
but is it if there was no tag and the tags were't switched. He asked, and they gave him a price, assuming he was not misleading them as to what make and model it was. If they checked and made an error, then their fault.

the people at registers are like, wait, this 15 dollar price tag has to be correct. because who would pay $75 for a piece of plastic?

You can find a lot of bargains at retail stores. They're at least worth checking out first, before you head to the lax store.

You can go to Galyan's and switch the tags. Nobody knows the difference. Razer for 15 bucks a couple years ago. Bimbo checkout girl had no idea...It's about as easy as scamming people's meal/dining credit cards in college. Nobody looks at the picture...

My favourite was a buddy that found a Triton that had no price tag.
He jammed it onto a $35 shaft and walked out with both for, you guessed it, $35.
(That one is stealing, many of the other examples are merely poor store management.)

so why are you compaining?
and even if they did put the tag on correct, my gift of opposable thumbs allows me to switch them. they dont know what their selling so they dont know its wrong.

Switching tags can get you in real trouble. A friend of the family was caught buying one piece hockey sticks that he switched the tags on and was charged with theft under $1,000. It is not worth the trouble switching tags...I would seriously advise against it.

I'd do it if the tag was wrong in the first place, but wouldn't switch the tags. It's too bad that i've never even seen an incorrect tag at my local di,cks.
