im lookig for some good quality cleats, low-cut, that are made for lacrosse. i've have used football cleats and crappy low-cut baseball cleats, and neither work well at all. what are a good pair (x-mas; size 12-13)?

first off, baseball cleats are made just for that, baseball.. they are god-awful.. and second, any molded cleat is clunky and just cumbersome.. Most football cleats are designed for cutting, and other "lacrosse-like" moves. I would suggest getting a higher end screw-in type football cleat, or the warrior burn screw ins, or even the new speed burns..

I'd go with the Nike low-tops that Syracuse used in 2004 F4--same ones Hopkins used in 2005 final 4. I'd go with detatchable spikes, because that's my personal preference, and there's lots of variance in the weather in Illinois.

What would you guys recommend for an indoor field?

any sort of mid to high cut turf shoe, unless it's gurf, or the grassy turf, then it's ok to use some short screw-ins..

i'm a big fan of rugby cleats, 8 studs, not 7 like FB cleats or 6 like soccer

soccer cleats are definetly not a good choice for lacrosse. used them and my ankles hurt sooooooooooo dang bad. it was ridiculous. and they are so slow. i swear.

I'd go with either soccer shoes, or ones designed specifically for lacrosse. My preference would be the ones designed for lacrosse, because they are designed to meet the demands of lacrosse and are specifically built for this. It just makes sense. Football ones, no good-too bulky, baseball ones, no good- designed to go straight for short distances, soccer shoes, pretty good-designed for lots of running and agility.

I'll tell you, I went to South Swell last week and tried on those new Speed Burns, they feel great, and the low-tops are $70. Maybe would be a good Christmas present, they really seemed like great cleats.

Who do you play for?

I'd go with soccer cleats, that's what I use. I prefer low-cut shoes, they're very light, and I'm not a huge fan of the Burns (although, I haven't used the new ones).

i had the burns, but the mud peeled the sole off of the shoe. these were 1st gen, so maybe they fixed that, i use superspeeds now

i was thinking about getting those new burns, they look alot better then the old ones. also i just found that brine makes 4 kinds of soccer cleats, and they all look like they would be great for lax also. i couldnt find them anywhere but on the brine website, under soccer, but i was also looking at getting those too. so new burns or the brine soccer cleats for me.

adidas Men's Scorch 3D Mid

and Nike Superspeed D 3/4s

these 2 are very good, extremly light, and lots of support. basically the same cleat, with a few changes.

Go with the warrior burn detachables. Those are crazy nice and really comfortable

i'm the same with middielax, i luv my burns to death. if u'r running an athletic midfield you might prefer soccor cleats. the individual cleats hold up a little longer, and are a little more comfortable to go distance in. if your just bopping around on the turf a good running shoe would do. i prefer running shoes over cleats because i like the speed of them when i'm backpedaling, and all out running. i havn't tried out turf cleats yet, so i just maje do with those.
