I know this story has been out for a while, but I can't find any info on the web. Why did Loyola's coach quit? They had a good fall and were headed in the right direction. Can someone please help me out with this?

It's definitely one of those "No one wants to talk about it" issues in the lac community. I doubt any further info will be available, it could be a personal or personelle decision. We might never know.

Can someone please fill me in on what happened here? Coaches aren't just asked to resign no matter how bad the teams record is. PLEASE, someone shed some light.

Wel, if it was just a family issue I doubt he would be "asked to resign", according to the Baltimore Sun...

Don't expect to hear anything more on this issue from Loyola. He is gone and they will not tell you why. That is basic Employee Confidentality 101, better known as CYA to avoid lawsuits. That being said this is obviously a serious matter that left Loyola with no option but to remove him from his position immediately no matter what the price. For them to do that means they are positive that he did whatever he was accused of doing and that that there is no doubt or grey area in this matter. I have no idea what it was so I won't draw any conclusions. It is amazing that nothing has leaked out considering past sports incidents.

Another chat room implied that.

By the way, an incident that causes your employer to demand your immediate resignation would definitely become a family matter. Your wife would want to know what you did to have this happen. Oops! Therefore, to say it was a family matter was definitely a true statement.
Just a reminder... no speculation, rumors, etc... You can discuss it within the realm of published facts, but that is all.

The real reason is known by some, but this is something that won't get out to anyone not in the 'inner' lacrosse circle for quite some time. Could be good news for Loyola though as those kids won't be scared of thier coach anymore (hopefully).

I have heard a name, a big name, and a clue in another chat room appears to confirm this person. He will "assist" this year and may become Head Coach next season. What has anybody heard?

Wait, let me get this straight...Loyola's head coach was 'asked to resign' because of family problems? I 100% belive that is crap. Why would a HEAD COACH be asked to leave a Mens Collegiete Lacrosse Program for family problems? I have a couple speculations that I could discuss with someone if they want to PM me.
That employee confidientally (sp) program...does that apply in the Judiciary system? Like if Loyola got sued for something and the Plantiff brought up the head Coach 'asked to resign' thing, wouldn't that program/ contract have be broken? Just wondering.

things like that are witheld from release to the public, but they could probably be used in a more private setting (like a courtroom) when it is necessary information. i'm pretty sure they couldnt hide what he did if there were charges or a lawsuit.
