PLEASE HELP!! I need advice on choosing a team

My advice would be go with your heart and dont let your Coach influence how you spend your money. I know he will try to pressure into playing for him, but if its too expensive and you wont play as much...dont do it. The summer programs are for personal elevation of your skill and the more you play the better. Good luck with your decision

i played against the braves, and they were a very good team, i didnt see the express, but from what i saw with the braves, they were really nice, the coach was a great guy.

at the LI pride tourney(terribly run) a team we were supposed to play left, because they were from Oyster Bay, which was close, and the got shelled earlier and didnt want to stick around. so we were just hangin at the feild, and the braves coach came over and asked if we wanted to play them. Totally cool guy, said some not nice things about the OB team, but great kids.

and though the LI Pride tourney was bad, they were a good team, the problem with them is that the lower teams are jerks, because the lose a lot, but the upper teams are nice guys, plus you get vikings, macs, and some warrior bag.

Go with the braves, you'll make new friends, and lacrosse is full of banter, when you play the team with all your old friends it will be fun.

i would say the express. I have seen them play and i can say they are amazing, and you have a lot of friends on that team.

Go with your coach's team. You will want him to speak well of you when college coaches ask him about you. They will call your high school coach not a summer coach. What do you think he will say if you are not a "team player"

I say go with the Braves. I'd rather be in a small, tight-knit group of players, and heck...if you can play in more tournaments for less money then the deal is clear.

What grade are you in? If you're going to be a soph. next school year, you don't have to worry about any colleges yet so choose the one you'll have more fun with. If you're older, from your knowledge what team attracts more scouts/coaches? But also choose on your style of play.

If your school has a strong team I'd go with your coaches, cause the more experience you get with them the more they see you, the more they're oging to play you & help get you recruited....But if the braves go to more tourneys & your kinda iffey iffey about the other tournament go w/ the braves, cause the more you get out the easier it'll be to be seen

i would go with the braves.this is my second season with the braves and i love it. the coaches are great ive made tons of new friends. we went to about 8 tourneys and played in 3 indoor leagues. it is a great over all experence. even though we dont have paid high school coaches my skills have improved greatly.
As far as attracting colleges, we win alot of games and will attend showcase tourneys where scouts go.

ps. it does'nt cost alot of $$$.

I'm in 9th. I play for the U16 Braves. Not Dave's team, the other team. We have played Friars twice at skate safe, I think they were freshman. Is that your team?

i play for the braves and saint anthony's. i'm the goalie on the freshmen team. the braves are a good team and are getting better. the coaches at sta will know you if you are a good player.

you should go with the braves b/c they hav in each age group one team an its a power house team in the express they hav a lot of teams in each age group an they only hav one good team the rest of them arent good....also the braves go 2 10 tourmnets for 450$ if i believe....the express has 4 tournments an over 1000$....but its up 2 you...

When I played the L.I. Express last year they had 3 different teams for U15 the white (we smoked em), the blue (every kid was over 6 feet tall and we got smoked), then the orange, (who weren't very big but had finesse, and a st. anthony's kid) so my question is what was witht their U15's last year?

Then I was playing for another team down in a touney, (that all state lax one coltslax you know) and i was playing the pride and they seemed a step down from the L.I. Express, one kid even told me they were the Express's practice squad. yeah just a comment, and go for the team that you feel the most comfortable with.

The express is a way to make money, its 3000 dollars for the season. Its outrageuos. I would just go with the braves if there not out their for the money.
