I'm one of the two captains on my school's lacrosse team. For the past two years, the incoming freshman have been a lot of trouble. We can't seem to get people excited to play. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can motivate my team!?

thanks

I usually show my kids highlight tapes--like "Lacrosse Superstars 2"
-it has the older 2 Powells, Gaits, Marechek, Grant Jr., along with great saves, hits, and great defensive plays.

EVEN IF the players immediately try "show off" plays, or stick tricks, at the very least, it gets people excited about the game.

Personally, I can't identify with that problem. After watching a five-minute clip of Syracuse playing in a final 4, I want to work out for an hour or do an hour of wallball.

Just do what I told WHEEL when he was trying out for some team, do not remember. Tell them they are pathetic, a joke and no one on this team thinks that they are any good and no one expects anything from them. If that does not get them to work, nothing will.

if you all eat lunch together, on game days make a lacrosse table and MAKE everyone sit at it, do team bonding as much as possible
