I know that Joffa (Jeff Joy) hasn't been drafted or anything, but what chance do you think he has if an MLL team is looking for a new Goalie? Maybe in the 2008 expansion draft he might get picked?

No, He Does not posses the quaility as a player to play MLL, Unless he Improves alot over the next few years.

no as of now hes not in the same league as greg cattrano, brian dougherty, trevor tierney, tillman johnson etc.

That was a bit harsh cannon, comming from a goal keeper yourself.

look lets be honest i think with the work that say a college player gets someone with jeff's talent could get a spot on an MLL roster. niether inge nor Tokarua have played college and they put in the real hard yards over the years and they are both MLL players.
right now, no, i dont think he (or any other goalies in aus) could cut it right now but it's not a talent thing, its a repetition thing.
unlike a few people around here i rate joff highly as a player and a guy. but i do think these malvern kids have an unhealthy obession with him

only 1 goalie for each team get to play...gotta keep that in mind too...poor goalies...not enough positions on the ground

yeh thats a good point doski as cannon said no other goalies are up to it because to get drafted they "supposedly" have to be in the best 15-20 goalkeepers in the world and the best 10 to get a starting game. Middies only have to be in the top 100 or so etc. Granted thought there are more middies than goalkeepers so it sort of balances out.

Why wouldnt we think about the current goelies for australia scooter and warren brown first for MLL?? From what ive heard Cannon is more naturally talented than jeff joy. But i dunno being a south aussie....

No im not, he's just so a helluva lot better than any other goalie ive seen, especially the SA goalie, He was awful! i do admit that some malvern kids are though.

yeh the SA goalie in the first match vs vic was good but the second one wasn't as good

he did play all but wasn't the starting goalie. I don't know how much game time he had in w.a.

Well obviously there is 3 goalies in australia who are better than jeff joy i.e. scott garnsworthy, warren brown in the aussie team and Aaron Sargent an alternate (south australian). Evan Willis is possible better i heard he didnt make the vic team because joffa;s dad was the coach??

Yeah I was approached by them after 2003 and a few other colleges. But basically I had done too many subjects at uni to transfer my degree over to a new institution.
But I am going on exchange this coming semester and will be able to play lax if i'm good enough.

I got an e-mail from one of their coaches enquiring about you a coupla years back. Not having seen you play, nor played against you it was difficult to provide much constructive feedback at that time.
Good luck with the transfer. Where you heading??
