How do you all think the U.S. team will do? I think they are gonna have a tough year, they don't have any amazing players. Tkachuk and Weight are both having TERRIBLE years and they both got named. Shows how little depth they have. The goaltending will be alright if Dipietro doesn't play like he did tonight(pulled against Toronto after 6 goals).

I'm just hoping they don't trash the hotel after they lose a game. That was embarrassing a few years back...

Someday...someday...the BHawks will see the playoffs again. Maybe 10 years?

All I see is an old team with weak goaltending.

The sportscentre guy was just knocking the US Ice Hockey team, saying they'll finish possibly 4th-7th. But they will still finish better than Australia.......

On a seperate note... totally off topic, the Australian Bobsled team is training for the olympic games in a warehouse, they have rarely trained on the ice. Bring Back memories of the Jamacian Bobsled team - Cool Runnings. lol

......Tkachuk and Weight are both having TERRIBLE years and they both got named. .....

Tkachuk entered this year's training camp about 30 pounds over his ideal! (I think the real reason Roenick is not named for Team USA is that Tkachuk ate him!)

Anyway, the reason these guys were picked is politics. There are a few Canadian veterans that are having dogs--t seasons that are probably still going to make the final cut. At least Yzerman and Lemieux yanked themselves.....I've seen enough of those guys, and would rather see Crosbie, Staal, Spezza and other young stars get a shot.

Anyway, I'm having trouble envisioning this US team knocking off any of the top four. They will need super-human performances from every member to win a medal in 2006.

no way theyre gonna win with dipietro, esche might do well. but dipietro has just been having a horrid season. last nights game was one of the worst but not the only one. some of the goals he let up against the leafs were so weak

I'm glad Erik Cole was put on it. They shouldn't be too bad.

Roenick has always been nuts, he didn't just go nuts. I am glad he got shafted honestly.

Still, you have to wonder how some of these guys that were picked instead of JR!

To me, the biggest surprise was that Ryan Miller wasn't at least invited to camp as the 3rd goalie.

JR just hasn't been putting up numbers this year that would get him on Team USA. Oh well, its not like they are going to do well anyway.

Ronieck hasn't been producing points since he left Philly, b/c he thinks he is just an old guy, that isn't truely needed in L.A.'s sucess
