I noticed how all the Canadian's have said "good vid" and everyone else has hated it.
I analyzed the video thoroughly and there is no actual cheap hits, just good intense play. If he ran 30 feet and cross-checked some guy in the back then that would be cheap.
This is how you play defence in box, no long stick so you gotta hit them more.

And Coltslax you don't play the same sport as him, that was box lacrosse.

dude im in this movie im number 31 on maple ridge. for every one here im the guy in the blue jersey and red shorts that says ridge across it who drops his gloves on him and trys to fight him, but the reff broke it up this guy was so lucky the reff was there. what he dosent show in the movie next time are teams went at it i punched him 4 times in the face and he was done. and if your wondering why i laid the first punch in the vid its cause he back checked me.

Everything else was great. I don't see where everyone is complaining about CFBs. At most, they were just a push from behind which isn't a problem.

Sweet Video...That's some top quality box being played there. A few dirty hits and crap, but hey you get that in almost every game. And personally I don't understand why everyone is complaining about it, like honestly, it's a decent video, lots of big hits and checks, but this IS how box is played so if you don't like what you saw get over it.

Box lacrosse is a rough sport, and that's what makes it so exciting. Getting to see fights, big hits, goals, a little rough stuff is great. But that video was pure goon. That wasn't lacrosse, that was stupidity. Hell, I've seen better in houseleague.

In three years of reffing and 9 of playing, I have seen only one person hit from behind into the boards and there was an attempt to stop before he hit him. I saw you run some kid, and you didn't make much of an effort to stop.

I hope you aren't proud of that video because it isn't anything to be proud of.

As for the video - if it was Intermediate B, that means it was lowest-common-denominator lacrosse played by teenage thugs that mostly aren't good enough for BC Junior B. It's fairly low level of competition, when you get down to it....maybe like half a step above a houseleague.

As it's minor laX and not Junior, a check from behind (2 to 4 minute penalty) followed by a fight (5 minute penalty ) is enough to get you pitched from a game in almost every minor association. In some minor associations, the fight alone is enough to get you pitched (refs are directed to give both fighters 5 minutes plus a game misconduct).

My view was yeah that was some goonage lacrosse. Your basic defensive skills were pretty decent you do indeed play balls out but some of ur decision making IE running tenders needs some work. I'd personally like you on my team if you didn't take all those damn stupid penalties. I understand it was the entire season but i have for sure seen teamates not do any of those things in the span of 22 games let alone all those different things. But u ARE a good defensive player but you gotta stop with that garbage you would command more repsect and you might actually go somewhere. You people need to back off. There is nothing wrong with this video, its the Goon Squad video that is cheap. All those "checks from behind" are nothing more then a hard push. If you give the defender your back, expect to be hit in the back! As for the one cheap hit, if you tell me that you have never done something cheap, you need to take a break from lacrosse and look for your testicles, because you have obviously lost them somewhere. If you have half a brain and knew a damn thing about box you would want this guy to bring some grit to your defense.

that video is a total embaressment to bcla. not only was that the cheapest, video i have seen it was also the most unskilled. there was maybe 1 or 2 quality hits in that whole video, and your fighting was almost as sloppy as your stick skills. i would love to see a video of your so called nice passes, judging by the only time u picked up the ball, it didnt look like that video would be too long. i didnt make a video of myself but you might have seen me and my team killing the chilliwack midget "a" team in provincials last year.
