College Box?

I got the craziest thought the other day. What if someday there was NCAA Box Lax and colleges were giving scholarships and everything! This would be nuts. Anyone think it will ever happen? The schools have the facilities but....thoughts?

It would probably happen in traditional hockey hot spots... If it ever did.. michigan, cornell, minnesota, and so on

I think you'd see NCAA College Division I Foozball before you see college box lacrosse. Maybe college level curling. Speaking of which, would a skip get a better scholarship than say, a third? Always wanted to ask that.

that would be awesome if they gave box lax scholarships.....but i think that idea is still a while away. It would be even cooler if they gave scholarships away here in Canada.

another thought.. it's tough enough to get field lax at the NCAA level.. it might be darned near impossible to get box programs.. unless they were exclusively club.. I guess some of the bordering states could have junior teams that could compete in Canadian leagues... (hmmmm)

They do give out box lacrosse scholarships in the NCAA - they are called "attackmen." LOL!

But seriously folks... Onondaga Redhawks played in the OLA Junior B loop up until a few years ago when "insurance issues" forced them out. They always had good teams in Onondaga.

I'd love to see a couple of Yank junior teams play in the B loop, but I am probably in the minority. But heck, if it can happen in the O & the Q it can happen in the OLA. One day...

My dads friend palyed on some national team once.

The US elite field vrs our Elite Box they palyed 5 box games and 5 field. Guess who won.


Canada 9 wins and 1 tie Us- 9 losses 1 tie

If Americans "dominated" field lacrosse, explain to me why a freshman in college FROM CANADA was one of the leading scorers in NCAA FIELD LACROSSE.

If Americans "dominated" field lacrosse, there would be one Canadian player for every 3 or 4 teams. Personally, we have 3 on our team. Your claim has no real basis behind it.

Perhaps his use of "dominate" stems from World Play. The USA does generally dominate. Of course, Greer is an exceptional talent, as there are many Canadians that can play field quite well.
