Ok, so all i want to know is what is the worst game you have ever played in? was it an embaressing defeat? the lose at the finals? or just really bad conditions? here's my story:

Ok so this was a game during the normal season. My club team was playing at these really crappy fields. It was in the middle of a track and it didn't drain so well. When we got there it was pretty cold and the wind was blowing hard. We started the game and it was ok just to run around a bit and get warmed up. Then....it started to rain, hard. This was like torential flooding raining pouring from the clouds. The entire field became this big lake. Only the uneven high grounds were saved. So then....it go worse. It started to sleet.....ok...So that was pretty unbelievable. It couldn't get any worse!....but it did. Finally, just to complete this disaster, it started to..SNOW!! seriously, it was snowing on the field. everyone was cold and wet and there body parts were numb and bent in weird directions. The ref didnt even call the game! i dont kno if we lost or not but i know kids were crying and hyperventilating. When it was all done 40 kids sprinted to their cars and jumped in to get the hell outta there. My hands were stuck in a ball cradling postion and i had a hard time taking off my pads. some kids jumped into their showers at home just to get warm enough to remove their pads. so yea, that was the worst game EVER.

from now one we refer to it as....THE HELL GAME!!

ok your turn

seriously how would you know? seriously?

Ok well here's mine. We were an amazing team. We were awesome. Blew past all teams. with very lopsided and uneven scores. So the first round of the play off's we were seeded 1 and played 8. We had beat them the previos week 11-3 and so ya you guessed. Ya we messed up real bad. lost 4-2. know one could do anything right. Dropped passes. Passes thrown away. Careless shots on goal.

To make that even worse that was my first loss of my 4 year lacrosse career. To this day I am 87-2 after 8 years. Last year was my second lose but we still one the championship. And no we are in a very strong league.

now that is exaggeration and straight up bragging. if your worst game is one of your 2 career losses, go cry in a corner. your not going to find sympathy here.

We were this was the 7-8th grade league. My team was almost completely 8th graders, and we were playing this other team that had a few 8th graders, but mostly 7th graders. One kid was friends with a lot of my team, and he was their star, so it was pretty competitive. We played well in the first half, the score was 3-2, i was in goal (which sucked). Our defense played well. The second half was another story. I was at attack (yay!!!). Their best player got moved from D to middie, and he was just running through our defense and mids. He was unstoppable. I almost tried to get coach to give me a pole. So anyway, me and my friend ended up getting like 10 shots that either missed the goal or hit the posts. It was so bad because that one guy was their whole team and we only lost by one. I feel that if i had been at attack the whole game maybe i would have scored that one goal which would have tied us.

So, basically, that game sucked because i was playing goalie against a team i really wanted to beat, and when i moved to attack, me and my friend wissed a lot of shots. Sorry if this wasn't written well, but i haven't been in school for a while.

my sophomore year we plained this team called Saint Viator. This game was a make-up game, and our school year and season had already ended. We hadnt had practices in about 2 weeks when we got this email that said we had a game on thursday. i was excited, because i love lax hardcore. anyway, we get on the bus to go to the field, and the bus got lost. after we finnally found the field we about laughed ourselves to death. the field was about 10ft. from the interstate. In one corner there was what looked like a sewage back-up (it reeked), and on the side of the fields where our team benches were, there were softball fields. and seriously, i mean the fences were RIGHT there. We had about 3 homerun softballs interupt our game because the rolled onto the middle of the field. there was also about a 1/4" of standing water where our bench was, so all of our crap got wet. To top all things off, we were playing horribly, it was super hot, and the bugs were out because they smelled all the sewage in the corner of the field. it was the worst game ever.

1st game ever. I did well with the d-pole, then our goalie gets hurt. Madison was rocking some serious ringers, and I did not know much about goalie at all, I had only practiced once. A guy was SO open, he threw 6 fakes on me, and I was on the ground, while he basically passed the ball in the net. I had 3 saves in a quarter-and-a-half, but they scored some serious goals on me. I looked like swiss cheese out there, and my teammates felt very bad for me. But hey, that's what you gotta go through to get stronger, tougher, and more experienced.

There are way to many for me to recall. We had some very poor team games this season the worst was a 33-5 loss and i had to play goals i thought i did alright though concdering i had 25 odd saves.

My last game of the season (I had to miss CONNYs). Unfortunately, becuase the game was scheduled at the last minute to decide which division we'd be in, my coach thought that I was missing the game too. So, in the 2nd quarter, I notice that I'm the only one of 6 attackmen who hasn't gone in. After a while, I decide to ask my coach why. He looks down at his clipboard and says that he thought I wasn't there. So, I get subbed in with about two minutes to go in the quarter. 4th quarter, I'm back in. After a lot of bad playing, I was pissed. Unfortunately, my anger came out on a midfielder from the other team in the form of a slash and I ended up with a 2 min non releasable. The kid was screaming and couldn't get up for at least a minute. I've never felt so guilty and bad in my life. I was so pissed at myself. A friend said I'd even gone offsides to make the hit. And to top it all off, it was crummy weather.

If this thread is called "Your Worst Game", the guy obviously has to name one of those two losses. Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

We lost 19-3. No explanation needed.

Before I go on with my post here I want to say that the following deals with an incident that occurred in the box game and not on the field. I decided to put this post in this forum because it relates more to the thread rather than the forum itself. But........ ANYWAYS.......... please read on:

I just want to let you know of an incident that occurred to me during the final game with the Brampton Masters League this year in 2005. Now I'd like to know everyone's opinion on this it's important to me what you all think.

Now..... toward the final minutes of the game, I had a pretty serious altercation with an opponent. Apparently we were leading 14-6 and the other team's "enforcer" decided to do something REALLY STUPID! Apparently the idiot (I'm not mentioning any names even though I should since he needs to be exposed because he is in fact dangerous once he starts playing. He is a really nice guy off the floor), LITERALLY, AND I MEAN LITERALLY whipped the ball straight in my face AND THEN decided to whack his stick STRAIGHT ACROSS MY FACE!! It's pretty funny right now but it wasn't any laughing matter at the time it happened!

The way it all shaped up to that point was when I was LITERALLY SPEARED in the midsection with his stick close to the beginning of the game because he "thought I was getting too close to his goalie". Now of course, this was a load of crap because everyone in lacrosse knows that the players aren't allowed to get inside the goalie's crease during play.

So anyway, I went after the goon all game long because of what he did by spearing me (which is extremely dangerous since you can literally kill someone if you hit him hard enough). So what happened toward the end of the game was that the guy got into a minor altercation with a teammate of mine. After exchanging words and a few minor hits, I decided to get in on the action because he was bothering my teammate and I stepped in to defend him. But the goon didn't like it one bit so he took it upon himself to throw the ball straight to my face and then whack the stick across the helmet!! Like...... I think he either went crazy or he just went lizard-brain for a moment. Either way, that shouldn't have happened!! And what burned me up the most was how the ref decided to handle the whole thing!! The ref ONLY sent my teammate to the box for a minor penalty. But the goon ONLY got a MINOR PENALTY FOR ROUGHING!! Like what the hell was that?!?!? He only got penalized for the little scuffle with my teammate. The ref COMPLETELY IGNORED what happened with me!! I couldn't believe it!! At the end of the game we all just shook hands but the goon acted like nothing ever happened!

When I spoke to the ref after the game, I asked him why didn't he throw the goon out for chucking the ball and for whacking his stick! He just chuckled and said that he had the "right to defend himself" because I came after him for bothering my teammate! The goon was supposed to get a MATCH PENALTY for the ball chucking AND for the stick whacking! But he only got the 2 minute minor!! So!! What's really fair here and who has the right to be ticked off especially after everything that happened that game?? I'm also still ticked off at the ref for not kicking the goon out of the game like he was supposed to!! That's what got to me the most!! Although the ref did talk to the goon after the game by telling him that his actions were not tolerated and all that. Well, what the heck is the point of giving someone heck AFTER the game if the damage was already done DURING?? I really don't know where this world is headed for in terms of moral ethics in sports!!

I even called the goon up at his place to ask him why he did those things. His excuse was that it was "just all part of the game..... ooooooh well." That's all he said. Of course he just laughed and I just laughed along with him because I didn't wanna tick him off by giving him crap over the phone!! Perhaps I should have just laid into him over the phone and warned him that I was gonna get even with him next season. I'm still considering getting back at him!! Don't you all think that would be the right thing to do??

Well.......... ANYHOOT....... I understand it's all part of the game but when people do crap like that, then things DO GET PERSONAL ...... and it's NEVER the right thing to do to get personal with the other players by crap like that! I was ready to just drop the gloves and fight the punk, but he chose to be a coward instead and use his stick as a weapon. Furthermore he did it right in front of the ref so when I went after him, the ref had already separated us. So there was nothing I could have done!! Well....... I'm very sorry but although I've let this slide this first and ONLY TIME, I'm not gonna let it slide ever again! If he ever pulls those kinds of stunts again, then I WILL TAKE EXCEPTION TO IT! That's a guarantee.

But oh well, like I said, this happened this summer but it'll never be forgotten. I only brought this up so that the rest of the lax community is aware that there are goons like that out there who just don't have any respect for their opponents!! But the point to this whole thing is that I HOPE THIS KIND OF THING NEVER HAPPENS TO ANYONE OUT THERE BECAUSE IT'S GOTTA BE THE MOST EMBARRASING THING THAT CAN HAPPEN!!

Have a good one, I hope Xmas went well for everyone and I hope that your New Year's parties go well too. ;) I welcome any kind of comments or reactions from anyone out there. Take care.

HA. Sorry to change the sport, but my worst game ever was by far a football game. Basically it was raining then sleeting and was freezing. Almost half the team left around half time and just stayed inside while the other guys (including myself) attempted to play on. Many kids were crying, and stuff like that. But they definetly deserved to be crying. It was ice cold. It took me about 2 hours to take off all my pads after the game. Oh yeah, no one on the line could put their hands down, because if you did, you would easily collapse. Ah...bad memories. I like spring sports.

My worst game is when this guy speared me in the stomach and his dad started laughing. I got back at him by taking a shot and 'accidently' missing the goal and causing the ball to hit him in the gut.
And this was at a tournament so the dad came up to me at one of the gear booths and yelled at me that I hurt his son. So I just lifted part of my shirt up and showed him this giant bruise and told him his son did it and the kid deserved a matching bruise.
I was such an a-hole but he had it coming.

Teamwise, it was my sophmore year of college, a conference game against Denison (I've brought this one up in other threads) where we started the game with only 10 guys and were just never able to get in the game. By the half the middle schoolers in the stands were heckling us (though we were tuning it out, it actually seemed kind of funny), and by the 4th our best attack had to leave the gameleaving us to finish with 9. It was a shut out and seconds after the horn ended the game I recieved a cheep shot in the form of a cross check in the back (the guy made no attemtp to stop after the horn) and the ref did nothing. It was also the worst display of sportsmanship by another team in the history of the sport. No holding off after a lead surpased 15, putting in the goalie as attack to try and score (this was actually motivated by their goalie's rivalry with ours).

My worst game was the same year against a team we had absolutely drubbed the year before (Medaille) so as we were winless we went into the game with a lot of hype. Aside from a lot of bad calls going the other way I just couldn't get anything done with the few opportunites I had missing several garbage goals. Instead the tables got turned and we suffered another big loss.

my freshman year we played like one of the top teams in the state and i split time with another goalie and she did bad the 1st half of the game so idk why but i played really bad the 2nd half...one girl made a pass and it went in by accident...i cleared the ball right to the other team in the middle and they scored...i just kept missing easy shots, so yeah i'm still really mad about that game

When we werent invited to the championship game of our division because of some rules Pingree made up, (aka afriad to play us) were a 2 year program who really gets goes who can play, 4 of us had 25+ goals so we go 13-1 only losing to the #8 team in Mass (philips exeter) and we beat Pingree 9-8 at their field in the rain. So they come up with some rules to get us from playing so they can take the trophy that we won the last year.

my worst performance:

i was called for 4 offsides, 3 of which were my fault. the opposing team scored on all 3 insuing possessions that were my fault, and on the 4th got powerplay and then scored. and it broke my streak of...iunno...about 12 straight games with an assist. we ended up losing by one goal.

it was an off day. to say the least.

the next game though i had my first career hat trick and 3 assists, too. that helped ease the pain a little bit. though i don't think i'll ever fully recover

__________________________________________________ ___________
my most frustarating experience:

we were playing this team whose school was about 5 times as large as ours, and a lacrosse powerhous (whereas my school is more of a lacrosse blooper reel). i took the opening faceoff, won it, and took it upfield, and dished an assist. 1-0 quickly. it was my only faceoff win of the day lol. however, i was having one of those days where i could just feel myself in a rythym. everytime i got the ball, i was beating my defender (something i do very rarely, seeing as i am A) defensively-focused and B) bad) routinely. i woujld continue to dump the ball off to an attackman when the slide came, but their shots were off noticeably. i remember taking the ball upfield after stripping someone, and actually thinking "man, if i keep doing this and our shooters get their game back, i'm gonna have a career day here." that possession, one of their defenders apparently had the same thought about me. i penetrated the lane, and he knocked me out with a check before i even saw him. my coach refused to play me from that point on. we lost by a final score of 5-4. rats.

my worst game was really bad conditions, it was really early spring id say, and we had a game scheduled at this dome, so the team shows up, and it turns out the had already taken down the dome on the field, winds gusts over 30 mph, and it was HAILING, worst game ive ever played in

The End
