I'm excited about the season starting, but at the same time I have reservations about getting too excited about the Wings. They're highly talented, and have loads of potential. But in past seasons, the opening games to the season haven't spelled out how the season goes. Win or lose, I want the Wings to play to their style. If they can play the game without desperation, and getting down on themselves, and losing confidence, they will do very well. Hopefully the Woolies give them a good game, but not too good, if you know what I mean...

Lets hope the Wings can pull it out. It might be alittle harder without the defensive anchor that is Dallas Eluik. Both teams seem to be a bit young on their starting lines with Hollywood and Gait gone. Mabye Prout will begin his breakout season tonight and the Wings will be the first to suffer. Who knows? All I know is lacrosse starts back up tonight and I'm excited.

Well the Wings pulled it out 13-11, with a great game by rookie Sean Greenhalgh (4g,3a). I'm happy.

I'm telling you, this kid, once he gets his "sea legs" will be good. Seeing that point total, thats just encouraging considering from what I hear, he sucked in the first half...

Chew on that...

I have a fun time win or lose. The only time I don't is when the team doesn't play up to their expectations. They're going to lose, especially against teams they're not supposed to win against. Win the games you're supposed to (like Colorado) and win against some of the tough ones (Roch, Buff, TO) and the Wings could be in the playoffs...which would be really fun.

I'm thinking that was in reference to my "Sean Greenhalgh sea legs" comment.

It means that Greenhalgh had 4 goals and 3 assists in a game in which he SUCKED. 4 goals and 3 assists is only half a game here people. If he could have hit the broad side of a barn in the first half, it would have been more. Just wait until this kid kicks the butterflies out of his stomach, and gains his confidence. You'll see those sea legs take over....

Greenhalgh is definitely a player.

He was the main reason the Wings won, so yeah he is.

Yes, and the fact that Philly was 2 goals less sloppy. Got to see the game on tape delay. The first game for any team is always sloppy, but OMG was that game horrendous. But it was nice to see Luke Wiles playing up to standards, and Van Beek and Finck were forces on D. Roik played a solid game as well.
