It just picks your highest available player when it is your turn to pick. The order goes 1-8 for the first round, then 8-1 the second round, then 1-8 again, and etc.

You'll score tons of points, but that Rochester defense isn't the same without Andrew Turner, IMO. One man isn't a team, but he sure made a difference.

Jalbert: Quality selection. CO relies on him a lot.
Biers: Don't know much about him, can't help you here.
Carey: See above.
Conn: Superior player, in a better system. Great selection.
Fines: If Boyle sees him, you might have a sleeper.
Gill: Not bad. Above average player.
Malawsky: Older, but still can score.
Powell: Average player, but in the right system might excel.
Steenhuis: Down year last year, but should recover after his sophomore jinx.
Wulder: Who?
Portland Defense: Where you're going to lose every battle, head to head.

I have a lot of love for Dally, but he's not the same as he was even 3 years ago. And Portland has some talent (don't forget Merrill as well), but overall, they're still an expansion franchise. I realize they're better than their half brother, the Anaheim Storm, but I personally don't have a lot of confidence in them. If I'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time...just don't make a 3 thread rant about it...like some people have been known to do....lol

Jalbert :is a ground ball machine and can also score, a defensive-minded player, who is dangerous on both sides of the floor

Craig Connn: isn't a major point scorer or loose ball getter, he's a role player, and a great sub to have (I wouldn't start him, unless he starts putting up major numbers)

Steenhuis: is another excellent player.. he was thir in points for Bandits and picked up a whopping 141 ground balls!

Wulder: is a 30+ points getter, not terrible, and is an average loosie getter

Ryan Powell: was third leading scorer for Anaheim last year,, hardly a slouch.. also picked up 76 loose balls which is a trememdous amount

Biers: is a 25 point getter, and had 68 loosies last year.. good all around role player, not necessarily someone I'd start

Malawskiy is a 50 point getter and usually averages around 50 or so loosies.. he is a great player.. def. a starter.. and no slouch

Fines is a 20 point getter and a role player.. average loosies, and probably not your starter.. another role player by all accounts

Gill: is an all-pro forward .. eigth leading goal scorer in league history

Carey: has MLS experience and also played for Canisius College.. he has a range of field and box experience including a stint as a laker .. he has already tallied 4 points in his debut with Colorado.. he is a rookie.. a great weapon to have

Picking the Portland defence is a tough call. Their D looks solid on paper but its hard to imagine an expansion team doing well. Hey who knows, Buffalo tore it up their first year.

*Someone called Conn a "role player". He's way more than that, he's a helluva playmaker. He's also strong as an ox and is damn near unstoppable on his way to the net.

He started last season with MN, and was out for at least three games with injury, so don't rate him only by last year's point total.

This season, he's got Jonas Derks and Dan Dawson playing every attack shift with him.....No less than 65 points if he doesn't get injured.

I think part of it is that you get a chance to get "introduced" to the league, that is, you get a chance to have players on your team whom you may have never heard of before.. Everyone knows Grant, Tavares, kelusky, etc..

I lost by 0.2 points. The reason - Toronto's D netted me -5.3 points, while my opponent's D (AZ) netted him +5.0.

In summary, my attack unit beat the other frogging *******'s by more than 10 points, and Toronto's D still found a way to blow it!

I still don't like the way the draft was plus the fact the draft basically takes every player in the league...there should be more than like 4 people in the free agent list.

As for this week I did a lot better(I won by two times the number of points my opponent had.) especially since Portland,s D stepped up their game against Colorado.

There's no way you didn't get one player you had in your top 10. It works on a system where each round you move up the rank and than back down once you have a first round selection. How many defenses did you have in your top 50? Something's not adding up dude. :bull:

My four top guns (Kelusky, Conn, Dawson, Greenhalgh) are doing well. My supporting cast (Luke Wiles, Shawn Evans, Jimmy Quinlan, Kevin Howard) are pitching in here and there when some of the other guys have been on a bye week. I didn't get the guys I really wanted, but hey, I drafted last, so you take what you can get.

Toronto's defense has been adequate. Considering that I didn't even list a defense until about 7th round, I'm doing OK in this category.

Season overall - doing decent at 4-2. My two losses were from the first two weeks and were mostly due to Toronto's dog-shi7 start to this season.

So how did everyone do in their leagues. I ended up losing in the semifinal round.

I ended up dumping the Toronto D and picking up Minnesota's D

I lost in the semifinals too, aftering finishing first during the regular season. But I got screwed over. In the second last week of the regular season, I didn't get the correct poitns aloted to almost my entire team. Guys that scored four goals, were left with zero points and it was only one game for them that weekend so it's not like I got the games started messed up. So I ended up lossing like 18-2 even though I should have scored easily over 20 points. Although I still won the regular season, the placing below me got all screwed up becasue of the point mistakes. Long story shot (or long actually) I ended up playing a team I shouldn't have becasue of that week and now won't win my year. I also got screwed last week when Craig Conn didn't start becasue of a suspension, which everyone only knew about once Arizona's game started. Bush league on the NLL for running a pretty unimpressive pool both visually and on the actual running of it and also for keeping info like Conn being suspended off their site. I guess it was kind of fun playing fanatasy lacrosse for the NLL, but I would have rather they waited and made sure things were perfect before launching a sub par system like they did.

it does take time to work out the kinks...i expect next years to be much better..if not...then we can all complain to high hell...for now i will just call it a work in progress (poor one at that)...

yeah, I'll give them some slack for a shoddy first attempt. and although it's getting a bit off topic, I think they really need to start posting injuries and suspensions a lot more regularly, like every other league. it's just posting text, not hard. or do they think people won't show up if their favorite player is out of the lineup? dumb if that's the case, but what else would it be?

Won the regular season with 8-2 record, blown out in the semi final.

My opponent got some production from all five players and a positive score from their defense. I stupidly didn't notice the Craig Conn suspension and had a terrible negative performance by the Rock's D against PHI last week.

Oh well, t'was fun and I'll play again next year.

NOOO!!!! i lost in the finals 23-18. why the hell did i have minnesota as my defense??? i would have won if i chose another defense. i outscored all of the opponents with my players but the defense from minnesota sucks ***. another reason for me to hate them with a passion. THEY LOST ME MY FANTASY POOL!!!!!

Won mine against a team that had the Minnesota defence...was that you Canadalax ( Spamalopes) They should have had an overall winner rather than just a leaque winner. It was fun for the weeks that I actually remembered to input my team. 5 and 5 in regular season but turned it on in the playoffs. Yeah what are the prizes.. did I win a trip to Surrey? :lol: :lol: :lol:
