I got my Torque and dB803 today much to my excitment from www.lacrossedigest.com. I opened the box and looked at each, and when I went to put the Torque on the 803, I realized that I didn't get a screw with my order. Is this normal? My Brine screws fit into the head, but I have to drill a hole for the screw on the shaft. Should I contact lacrossedigest.com, should I make a new hole, or anything else?

EDIT: For clarification, the Brine screw is way to big for the 803 hole. There is no way it will fit.

umm, just buy a screw and make a hole? go to home depot and look around the small screws. #8 x 3/4" self starting screws are the best.

just screw in a different screw and put some as* into it. it should just thread in like any other screw, only a little harder if it is a larger screw.

You can use any screw that fits it. Just drill a new hole using a drill press, if you have one. If not just use a regular drill. Its not too uncommon for this type of thing, I think.

This seems like a pointless thread- just find another screw. If you play lacrosse, then YOU HAVE ANOTHER SCREW, MAY IT BE ON ANOTHER STICK! I have like 40 screws, from new shafts, stringing kits, etc. If you really dont have 1 screw, then something is wrong. Get the screws that Dram said.

You didn't read his whole post, did you Teo. He said if he uses the brine screw he will have to drill a new hole. Drill a new hole. :dummy:

You really didn't need to flame him that bad. It's a legitimate (sp?) question, maybe next time you can answer his question instead of flaming him.

p.s congratulations on having all those screws.

Lol, exactly. You should publicly humiliate Gait for not including the proper screw. Lol, when I read his post I didnt read the whole "screw" part, So I thought he meant he was like putting a brine head on, and couldnt find a screw. Lol, my bad, I love you.

Use a self tapping screw so no drilling is required.

I noticed this to, that gait shafts (db803 anyway) do not come with screws. I was about to buy one when I noticed it didn't have a screw so I went back to the rack of db803's and noticed that none of them had a screw with it. But I bought it anyway and just found a screw.

Wait a minute. I am not going to flame you or anything, but I have to agree with the fellow who said just use another screw. What is your problem? Is it that the shaft has come with no hole drilled? If so, then the fellow accused of flaming was not flaming, but trying to answer as best as he could with the information you have provided. If the shaft already has a hole in it, then just use the screw you have available. This shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Get a screwdriver and go to work. Please clarify for us all just what you problem is. As I see it, there is no problem. Good luck all the same.

Yeah, the dB803 should have a hole pre-drilled in it that the Torque will easily fit on, and won't require a new hole drilled since there should already be one. If the dB803 is hole-less, then just go to Home Depot and get a new screw and a drill. End of story.

It has a hole but it doesn't come with a screw like most other shafts.

I had a db803 and a brine screw too. I just forced the screw into the hole in the shaft without the shaft. Then I took it out, put my head on, and screwed it in again.
