I see a lot of guys on here posting that they bought something at their "local lax shop". What does that mean? Are Omega Sports or D!ck's Sporting Goods considered local lax shops? Or do you guys actually have stores that sell nothing but lacrosse stuff? We have a Great Atlantic warehouse near here (Raleigh, NC) but it's not really a store, you just go up to the place and ask to try something out and they go back in the storage room and let you see it. Is that a "local lax shop", or do you guys have actual lacrosse stores??

There's a place called "Lax Locker" like 20 minutes from my house in Arizona. They only sell lax stuff and they have everything. The prices suck though so i only buy like balls and endcaps and shirts and stuff from them.

California Lacrosse Co. is a 5-10 minute drive from my house. And they have a backroom to shoot on a goal or a bounce net.

I live in california like gigo and we have a few around Northern CA (Idon't knw about south CA). We've got like 3 or so in the area, and I even have a store downtown that stocks soccer, rugby, and brine lacrosse equipment. Mad Overpriced though. Then we have 2 sporting goods stores like Big 5 that carry Gait Icons and STX AV8's.

Where I used to live there was a Stickhead Lacrosse less than 3 miles from my house and they only did Boy's & Girls Lax and Field Hockey. The weird thing was all their stuff was way more expensive than the stickhead website and less variety. So I think that they just got a vender statis from Stickhead and stuck the sign up front instead of "Velocity"

I got a Lax.com. Awesome store. I went in to get a helmet and the guy had me pick from the pile on the floor. It was a pretty big pile. And then we have this store that does skiing, tennis, and lax. They're cool too.

Yeah, down the highway from me is South Swell Sports, and yeah you guessed it, they sell nothing but Lax stuff. You walk in, there is everything and anything Lax-related, and multiple of it. D!cks and others like Sports Authority have a Lax section, but are nothing like a Local Lax Stuff run by guys that actually play the game and run a store that has nothing but Lacrosse items.

i live about 30 minutes away from a Lacrosse Unlimited. But mostly I go to Play it Again Sports, the have a HUGE selection because they guy who owns it played lax and both of his sons who work there play also.
I have this small soccer/lax store called Ewing Sports. Its not that great but it does have some lax stuff. Prices there are outrageous though.

Breakaway Sports is the one closest to me, great store. Awesome customer service and good prices, the owner will usually give discounts, and if he doesn't, a kid that works there is on my teams, so he can give me one too. There is also another Breakaway in Denver, and a Lax World too.
And to the kid in Arizona, does Alvin still own that store? He was a D-bag if I ever saw one. He thought some kid on my team was stealing so he hit him with a stick. Total wacko.

The Brine warehouse is located in my hometown.
a while ago we used to be able to go look around and fnd stuff that they throw out thta doesnt sell. So many treasures, but we would have to go dumopster diving :nono: :beard: .
The closest store that sells anything lax related (besides Chopper sticks) is an hour away. It sucks because I can't try things on. :(

Midwest Lacrosse is my local lax shop. It's around 10 minutes away, and obviously, they sell nothing but lax stuff. It's cool because their prices are as good as most deals online and I don't have to bother with shipping, plus they always get the new stuff fast. The owner is a cool guy, too.

I think there still is a MadLax in Olney but I never go near that area in my commute so I can't really remember it's exhistence. There is also Sports Xtra in Bethesda, which is primarily a lax store but has some stuff for football, soccer and field hockey though only a small percentage. They are expensive, but most of my team knows the owner's son (who works there part time) apart from playing with him so we'll get decent discounts on most things and the occasional freebies (like the fuse I was randomly given I'll never use...).
