I recommend soft contacts disposable prefferabley. i used to play football and every now and then an offensive linemans fingers find thier way into ur eyes and if u end up losing one disposable wont cost u alot to replace the permanant ones are really pricey

I wear glasses underneath my helmet. I think this upcoming season I'm going to wear contacts though.

Definately get one a day contacts. You can actually get about 3 days out of them if you clean them every night. If you are not going to spend the extra money, you should just wear the glasses.

I prefer contacts for almost any sport where you need a helmet.

One exception was in a ball hockey league I used to play in where they banned cat-eye cages (retarded, you weren't required to wear a facemask, but if you did, it had to be CSA approved for hockey.....CSA hockey grills SUCK for vision). Anyway, here, I switched to using prescription safety glasses and no facemask.

I used to wear glass under my helmet, but I went to contacts. I love em.

ive been wearing glasses for 6-7 years, and just made the switch to contacts because i started playing. the only issues i had with glasses were that i would have to be careful while taking my helmet on and off so i wouldnt bend anything, and when my face got sweaty, my glasses bothered me. so to answer your question, glasses are ok, no glasses is hella comfortable, but don't sacrifice too much vision for comfort.

^wow that was kinda long.

If you're gonna wear them under your helemt tie like a piece of croslace to the ear peice so when yuo get slashed in the head or leveled the don't fall off and shatter. For one I wear mine 50% of the time, like on foggy days and such.

I have a band made for that purpose. So when I play and the ball hits me on my head, the glasses don't move.

Are you able to get contacts. If you are get disposable. No problems with cleaning just take them out and toss them. I hardly wear mine because it just made some stuff farther away clearer I only need them for reading the board in school.

I tried putting this poll into an online Mandarin Chinese translator three times before I finally realized that it's supposed to be English.

I'm not quite legally blind but with out my glasses or contacts id be screwed. I always wear my contacts for sports tho just cause when i was younger i went through too many pairs of glasses. Whats ironic about all this is im a ref and alot of the time when watchign sports ill say that ref is blind.

I have glasses and contacts but I don't wear either when playing.. I can see everything fine with them when I'm playing. I think I may have worn my contacts once in a game and they helped a little.

My vision is horrible (-6.50) so I have to wear my glasses all the time. I've had no problems wearing them under my goggles. And they've never suffered any damage, despite the fact I've gotten hit several times in the face by a stick or ball. So I'm sure there are totally protected in a helmet. So just wear 'em - every little bit helps, I think.

Right now I wear contacts, but when I wore glasses, I didn't wear them when I played lax. I could still play fine even though everything was pretty blurry.

glasses only have a certain field of vision where as contacts make contact with your eyes and move where ever they move so they're great for any kinda sports.
