I dont know if this is normal, but when I have my arm guards on iit makes it much harder for me to move my elbow and make cradleing and passing harder. Are they too big or do they just need to be broken in? How can I make them more flexible?

how long have u had them?if you have had them for a while and you still feel like its harder to throw and cradle then they probably are too big.

Try the MPG 5.0's from Warrior. The off great protection, comfort and flexibility.

I think you need to break them in. I have them too and they are fine, they just slide a little bit.

The MPG 5.0's are okay, I have those and the PC 6.0 Arm Guards. They both are kind-of bulky, and even the non-slip pads in the PC's don't do as much as you think, especially in a game. The flexibility is also sub-par, but the protection is unbeatable, plus the built-in air vents, which feel so good at half time when everyone else has to pull their ap's off and your arms are dry and fine. You should probably stay away from those two if your Spartan's are too stiff, get like Vent-X's or other slim 3-piece flexible ones.

yeah i had em too and this is what i did and it worked perfectly, just wear em when you play wall ball and stuff so they break in and you get used to the feel of em

Yes they are. I used to have them and they were great. But then I was in this one game... High school kids reffing... My friend playing D on me... Yeah, my mom saw the bruises and now I have these massive Brine Elements.

Yes I am. They're fine for normal play, but if your defenseman ever gets mad at you, you'll wish you had more protection. And yeah, the only reason I could tell that I had them on was that mine didn't fit so the elastic came of the thing and irritated my arm. But that shouldn't be a problem if you get the right size. Anyway, its nothing a little tape can't fix.

Should there be any space beteen my arm pads and my gloves?

That is really preference. But it would probably be best to leave a little space incase your arm pads slide down. That way they won't slide into your gloves.

just get the stx barrel arm guards if you are looking for good and cheap. I love them.

yo, don't go with the exo if you value your elbow. mine slip down all the time, and they are just too thin if you are playing with the big boys. if you are in middle school they should offer enough protection otherwise forget it. i just replaced them with the gait chaos. the warrior mpg is also a good choice very comparable to the gait in feel and comfort. the gaits and mad durable and don't slip at all.

I had to use those last season, it's not you it's the arm guards. I was like that too. No matter how much you try to break them in they'll still be like that. I'd just suggest buying new arm guards.
