Blink 182

Alright now you all know how Blink 182 broke up and everything and they were a really good band. But anyways, Mark and Travis have started their new band Plus 44 and released the song "No It Isn't" which is a damn good song and hard to argue that it isn't about Tom and Blink breaking up, and Tom has started his new band Angels & Airwaves which according to interviews he think's is going to be amazing. Well what I want to know is what you'll be listening to or which band do you think will be better. It's kinda hard to say since I haven't heard a AVA song yet but Travis is amazing and "No It Isn't" is a damn good song so I'm going to go with Plus 44.

Also, anything about Blinks breakup and your oppinions can be put here.

Blink 182 was revolutionary to the genre of pop-punk. I'm not too big of a Blink fan but I can sure appreciate their contribution to music ya haters! :guns:

Wow I can't believe you guys have no love for Blink. They're like one of the most fun bands to listen to and one of the only mainstream pop punk bands that I really liked. And Travis is one of the most amazing drummers I know he's just rediculous.

i dont know... like sweet i grew up on stuff like blink and green day. but the thing is they just kept getting worse and worse. all of their old stuff was amazing and now the new stuff its all just... not good?. i havent heard of this plus 44 band though. ill check them out eventually

Maybe all the most recent black haired, wrist slitting, parent hating, tweeny bopper crap isnt good. But who can argue with the song about what I want from your mom. Old blink = better.

Ok I defiinately agree that old blink was much better than new blink. And I'm glad that people are atleast saying Travis is insane, I can understand not being real into Blink but you can't deny he's amazing. And he's got some sweet tattoo's. But yea, I've got love for Blink because idk they're like the band of my youth, I wasn't as into them as some of my friends but they are good.

Blink 182 was pretty cool. Plus 44 is better i heard some angels and airwaves stuff and it sounds like a bad version of blink 182. But i realy dont care for either of those two bands

Baron Von Tito is my favorite Drummer of all time (thats travis' Name in The Aquabats)
I like the Transplants and the aquabats and he has also played with some pretty good hardcore punk bands

I've never been a big fan of Tom Delongel, but Travis Barker is one of the best (if not THE best) drummers out there. So I'm going with Plus 44. Even though I probably won't listen to either of them.

i just listened to no it isnt, and i'm diggin it. i'v always liked mark's vocals over tom's and carol the guitarist is a cutie, and i like her back up vocals. the dont sounds half bad, i want to hear some of their more upbeat songs until i decide whether or not to buy the cd when it comes out

Supposedly it is because the band members want to work with their side projects and spend time with their families, but i heard that Mark and Tom weren't getting along with each other so they decided to quit.

and was once again happy to find out that they'll all be in new bands.

Sorry man, Blink 182 had a couple okay songs, but most were sub-par. I think that it will be similar to Joe Perry from Aerosmith (compared to Tom Delonge) making "The Joe Perry Project" which had 1 hit, but flopped like a month later. Sorry, but I think that they both won't go very far, and will probably come crawling back together again. I will download these songs and give them a shot, but I seriously don't think either band won't be substantial enough on their own considering Blink 182 just got by as a whole.

yeah take it from me. im a serious drummer. and my band can play the guitar and bass parts and they come over. so they're like oh, its so easy. but travis is sick man. hes off the chain. some of his ish is impossible

I chose Plus 44, with Mark and Travis they will be great and I downloaded their song and it is sweet. I loved Blink and was pissed when they broke up...but it will be interesting to see how Angels & Airwaves will be...

I'm going to have to strongly disagree with this. Travis is good, i can't deny that, but he ain't no virtuoso. You want to talk about drumming? Two words: Mike Portnoy.

Disappointingly, some of the best musicians will not be heard by the masses. An example being Jordan Rudess. Have you EVER heard that name? I doubt it. The guy went to Julliard School of Music when he should have been in third grade. Third grade!

Towards the topic, i have not yet voted because i have not heard songs from either Blink off-shoot.

Transplants are defenetley they best of-shoot of blink 182, they have a completeley dofferent style but they make some really good songs.
