Okay. Macworld opened today. And I'm reading every bit of news that comes out about it, but because all the journalists covering it are still there.. well, you know.
But I wonder if any of you have heard (or care about) the rumors of what will be released at Macworld. So far, the speculations seem to agree on:
- A new flash-memory-based iPod, either being a revamped Shuffle or replacing the Shuffle (by the way, the Shuffle was released at Macworld last year, you know).
- Mactels. The iBooks and powerbooks being released using the Intel chips instead of Power PC. Mostly, since they've been confirmed, speculation is on whether they will be announced to be released immediately or within a couple months.
- Intel-based Dualcore processors. This is not something I'm particularly excited about because, well, the Intel dual-core processors blow.
- Anything having to do with Apple working its way into the living room. Perhaps Macmini plugging into the TV. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), some companies debuted products that will link nano and/or iPod video to the tv using S Video or other cables, so.
Also: Apple's online store is currently down for "updating". Hee!
sorry. i'mobsessed.
Edit: Apple's store is no longer offline, but up and running. New laptop. "Macbook Pro". Cutesies.
