Just like the title says. I was wondering if anybody had any good drills to build up my foot speed. I realize I can use a ladder, but I don't have the money to buy one, I do jump rope but I can only jump for so long. Being outside to do stadiums is pretty limited due to the snow and I don't want to twist something. Does anyone have any good ideas? I searched "foot speed drills" and "foot speed" and nothing came up..

you don't need an actual ladder to do drills like that, i run stairs, up and down, making sure to touch each step with both feet, if you know what i mean.

makes enough sense, honestly id say look a little less foolish & go with jump rope, jump rope is an amazing exercise i think they said it's like a 3:1 ratio of how much you get out of it compared to runnign & stuff, but hey whatever works
Jump rope is a good excercise. Also try this one that I got from Terrel Owens (not directly of course). Lean against a wall so your body is at 45 degrees with your arms straight and against the wall. Than "punch" your right knee to the wall so your foot skims the floor. Do it right, left, right, left, etc. Do as many as you can for 5 seconds, rest 10 seconds, and repeat 5 times with the rests in between.

Stick hops. Lay your stick on the ground. Jump side to side over the shaft, forward back, diagonals. Jump as fast as you can using two feet, and one foot (left, right), 30 seconds a pop. Also, get cones at Play it Again sports or someplace and set up cone drills - google for drills.

Jumping rope as said. I do it for 20 minutes every other day. And if you have acess, DDR can really help. But you might want to do it in the privacy of your own home. Because no one looks cool doing it.

If you go to the gym, do extra calf work. Well-built calves will give you some extra explosiveness.

Unless they own at it. The few times I've actually seen people doing it there was a crowd around them. I'm not brave enough to try (for that reason.)

Yeah, I've got some friends like that. AAA songs that seem impossible. They're freaks, and I can't help but laugh. But I'm jealous of their foot speed.
