Even though this season hasnt started yet, I want to get prepared for HS next year. I play attack/middie and Im pretty small.
1. What should my 40 yard and mile time be?
2. How far should I be able to sprint without stopping?
3. What are some specific things coaches want in an attackmen?
4. What are some specific things coaches want in a middie?

Do you consider yourself more of a speed demon or a burly kind of player?

What grade are you in? It's not all about speed. You need the stick skills also.

basically, if your planning on having a college coach see you at a game, or being reccomended to one you just gotta haul a**....i mean having a 4.3 40 time is impressive, but it doesnt mean anything if you can't do it over & over again on the field, they're going to be impressed by the guy that's in on every play even if it's just an assist or ground ball, the guy that doesnt stop hitting until the whistles blown or a goal's scored & the guy that never gives up
so really just do all that stuff & your overall play insteada specifics, worry about finalizing & rounding all the numbers off your junior or senior year

1. 40 yd - about 5 maybe just under / mile - 7ish
2. depends the position
3 & 4. team player, not just a shooter, role model, someone who doesn't argue with there decisions, fast, good dodges, someone who knows the game (and can play it)
hope that helps and good luck

Where can I read up about game strategy and are there any sites that will show an entire game for free?

you shouldnt have just any one thing, to be truly good you should be good at just about everything

dodging: to get to goal
shooting: to score
groundballs: to keep the ball on offense
riding defensemen: to keep th eball on offense

go to lane tech, they only have varsity, but northside prep is absolutely horrendous, no offece to any players, lane has some good kids, jimmy driscoll is very talented, and drew bogan is a very good coach. so lane all the way man

College coaches at the upper levels look for a complete player, but they also look for size. There aren't many Mikey Powells out there, so size counts at the highest levels. Many D2/D3 coaches are open to smaller players, some, such as Bryant, actively look for small quick players with great work ethic.

Bottom line, be coachable, and work harder than everyone else, and you'll get noticed, and get plenty of pt.

You can sprint longer, Ive seen people sprint for almost a minute at a track meet when they did the 400m
