I just got done working out and i noticed something. I do this workout where i hold 2 10lb weights in my hands and i put them down right below my waist, then i pull them up to my chin. When i bring them up to my chin, it looks like my left collar bone sticks out, then when i bring the weights down, it makes a POP sound.

It doesn't hurt at all, but i can feel it pop, and i can hear it. it only happans on my left side, and i have to have a weight in my hand to make it do it. I showed my mom and she kinda screamed and told me not to do that anymore. lol like i will stop.

Any idea what is going on? it looks like my cartilage. I have never broken my collar bone or anything.

I think your form is wrong. I do it to (except I use 15 pound dumbbells) and my collarbone feels fine. Or you should see a doctor.

ok nevermind someof the stuff i sed

it pops out without a weight in my hand, and i swear it feels like its my collar bone popping up and down. It happans right were my collar bone connects to my bone that is directlly below my neck. (if i knew that song with the bones i would sing it lol)

you probably shouldnt be doing upright rows, because the motion once your elbows get higher than your shoulders can be tough on your shoulders. And before anyone gets on me, yes there are some instances where it is ok, but he is posting on a message board and doesnt know the name of the exercise QED this is not one of thoes instances

see an orthopaedic surgeon, you may be having problems with you AC joint. its the cartiledge that holds some of the parts of the collarbone together.

i messed up my shoulders playing and have similar problems. now that you have this, you should go out and get some decent shoulder pads, especially if you do any hitting.
