The nylons are loose and the leathers are crooked.

Tighten up the nylons and try to straighten the leathers out.

I'd say get new materials.
Not bad for a first.
-Keep all the diamonds the same size
-Keep the knots tight
-Go have the crosslace go through the leathers at the top, so they stay up there.

Just bring the crosslace through the top "holes" that are made in the leathers at the top and keep everything evenly spaced. And man, that string or whatever is, well, just weird looking. I'd imagine it's not as easy to work with as crosslace. But since it's on that head, whatever that head is (hi-wall or ballhog maybe??) I can see that you were probably just wanting us to evaluate technique, not looks.

well, whomever said the crosslace is too loose, is sadly mistaken. What causes the leathers to wrinkle (other than water) is crosslace that is too tight, or uneven diamonds. In this case, I would say it's a twofold problem. first, your crosslace looks to be too tight in spots, and your diamonds are uneven. it isn't necessary, but I would suggest stringing traditional with a ball in the stick.. this will help you obtain an even pocket that will hold a ball well, and will make it much easier to keep the crosslace consistent overall.

That thing makes me want to vomit. Not the pocket, but the materials. Order some shiny new leathers, a spool of crosslace, and some shooters off of jimalax and go at it again.

Where did you find that material? Hell maybe they're really worn in.

You might wanna try a tutorial for stringing tradtional, that might help out a bit. For me, i cant string traditional but i can string a few other customs. Good try though

Wow dude that head is pretty old school. The bottom and the sides look pretty good. I would say get some new materials and follow the tutorials kyrptic provided. They work good. Also try to even out your knots.

im pretty sure that stringing came with that head cuz my friend used to have the same head with the same configuration and judging that the head looks pretty old same with the traditional it looks as if you didnt string it. i could be wrong but im just saying
Lol that is the ugliest head I've ever seen. Its like big and clunky, with nasty strings.

Just what I was going to say, it looks kind of dirty.
But other than that, good job.
