Yo, BU girl, I'll see what I can do about setting you up as a moderator...I think your credentials will do :) You know what it entails though right? You need to keep things active in the forums, keep bad language and off-topic posts from occuring, things like that. Private message me through the forums if your still interested.

um i have a question i have played around in a store with some girls sticks(i was waiting to see if they had the head i want in back, and the ball practically threw strait up when i threw it. But other than that it was pretty easy to cradle with even one handed.
P.S. I play boys if you cant tell buy now

Well actually Molly (the terrierlax girl) was the mod for a little while but then she stopped being active so Mark took her off. I'd volunteer but I'm already the general mod.

well.....it's not really a mod, but with all my attack sticks, when I break them in, I have the middle 2 strings just slightly looser than the 2 outer ones (looser, and barely illegal)....I've never been called for that in a stick check before, unless it's one of those sadistic refs that press the ball down (because the outer strings support the ball to legal) but in a game, the looser middle strings create a nice consistant channel, and have a lil extra give when catching.... (the force of the ball is enough to push the outer 2 aside if you catch itin teh middle of the pocket..in theory)
of course, it's hard to tell whether it's a placebo effect....but then again, some of the other girls i've done this for have said they really liked it...(wow, i'm contradicting myself alot here today)
btw...my friend has found a great way to keep her pocket legal...she braided the end stings...her pocket hasn't changed at all in 2 season...it's been barely legal without crossin ghte line, and i know she hasn't undone her stick at anytime...i'll get a pic when I can
let's get some discussion going on!

yea on the trakker pro, if you string it yourself, make the 2 inside strings looser than the outside leathers. before you braid it, "lock" your strings on, but letting it hang down.. and then uhh kind of wrap it around the original leather thats above the bottom part of the head, and thread it through that little hole that you just formed... did that make sense? but that keeps the leathers from getting looser, and then just put the 2 middle leathers together as one piece of leather, so that you can just do a traditional braid. i usually tape my braid down to the shaft, and cut off the extra leather so that only an inch is taped to my shaft. if you have a trakker pro, burn the synthetic ends of the leathers! so they don't get unwraveled

are trakker pockets legal in US lacrosse? IWFLA banned them last time I checked......
wait.. I'll start this as a new thread, it's a question i've been wanting to ask anyways

Trakker pockets ARE legal for USLacrosse. I am surprised that the IWFLA has banned them since the IFLA has not (the men's division, not sure if I got the acronym right).

heheh..yeah..the IWFLA is kinda hammering out their stick legality issues...i heard that the Apex almost got banned 2 years ago..(as with all offset sitcks) but just too damn many people used them
a bit of a comprimise was reached in that Apexes were legal, but not apexs with trakkers....same applies to x-web and etc
no ruling has been made on stick newer than the Apex, but if the apex passes, i would expect the synergy to as well...and after failing test after test, the Venus might finally be ok too...
past that...who knows what whacky new rule they will come up with next? (probably rule the non plastic parts on the surge/tenacity illegal..depending on how popular sticks get)
(refer to the u-19 world championship earlier this year....that was played by IWFLA rules..GO CANADA!)
go thru the rule books soon, i want to get my ref. 1 cert. sometime in feb :D

Haha, really? Thats crazy! I'm def going to the next U-19's...well if I can anyway. I'm not sure where they will be in four years. I'll have to meet her.

hm......it would rock if the next u-19's were in Canada..(i don't believe we've hosted it before)...if they are...then i would make it a point to go as well to check out the action
of the countries in the IWFLA....most likely it's gonna go to Canada, or Japan....the aussies, chezchs and americans have hosted already...maybe england/wales?
in either case.....i'd love to visit england or japan anyways

Actually, the IFWLA has only had three championships.
1995 in Haverford, Pa.
1999 in Perth, Australia.
2003 in Baltimore, Md.
And the Czechs have never hosted it so I'm not sure what your thinking of. The current members of the IFWLA are:
Australia
Canada
Czech Republic
England
Germany
Japan
New Zealand
Scotland
USA
Wales

sumSum

Haha, its because we get off-topic and old threads get posted on after a while, bringing the whole thing up again.
It is hard to have custom trad pockets, because they are not easy to string. I would reccomend starting a new thread with this topic though.
Try and stay on topic everyone ;)
Including myself...I know!
