The larger the diamonds, the more the hold. However, larger diamonds give a bumpier release.

Mega mesh-also known as monster mesh- has five or six diamonds. Regular hard/soft mesh has ten diamonds. As the diamond size gets bigger, it has better hold but a bumpier, less smooth release.

I personally like larger diamonds. I have 5D on my Evo Pro and it has awesome hold. I don't care at all how bumpy my release is.
