wat kind of mesh did you use to string your goalie head. i was thinking to string mine that way.

ok i have been aving a ton of trouble with htis thing
first i worked in a good pocket and the head snapped
i replaced it and no matter what i did i coul dnot break it in
i finally did( i put it under the hot shower) but i had the most imagiable whip...(when i tried to clear the ball at practice i hit the kid in the head 5 feet in front of me)

i have tried everything ti lose the whio,,,tightened the strings, lowered the pocket..i even soaked the mesh in hair gel over night

so now i am stuck with a very brokeb in STX gaurdian but i do not have any idea as to how to get rid of the whip

is that soft mesh? cuz if it is you need to take out the V's and roll the verticals.

the same thing applies if the ball gets caught under your shooters( which it looks like it will)

EDIT: oops the verticals are rolled.....then the whippage may lie in your V's

if a goalie has a custum pocket(jrmelax16's pita pocket) and he stopped a really hard shot, wouldnt the crosslace snap.
