View Full Version : Traditional Stringing Help
I am a new lacrosse player, and I just got a Proton Power head. Hard mesh trad. stringing. With two horizontal shooting strings and a V string. And I want to make it deeper, this is where I need some help. I loosened the side wall strings and tried to restring the bottom. And now the ball just releases extremely low. Can anyone help?

Try tightening up the sidewalls and pound the pocket until the depth is what you want.

Welcome to the Forum cody. For clarification purposes, you are simply using hard mesh, not traditional. My advice to you is to pound your pocket until you get the shape you wish, or invest money in what is known as a pocket screw. Good luck in your efforts.

^ Jimalax calls it Traditional Hard Mesh so I don't think what he calls it matters too much. The only thing that is confusing is that he didnt write hard mesh in his title.
Some things you can do are
Put a ball and knife in the pocket and leave it in over night
Take out the mesh and stretch it with your bare hands
Use conditioner, fabric softener, etc. to soften up the mesh and then stretch.
You could always leave the mesh in the stick and soak it in hot water or something to soften it up and play wallball.
Just make sure your sidewalls are tight.
