Very interesting. Duke is absolutely dominating this year.

Hopkins is overrated.Penn State underrated.

Who I don't see: Notre Dame, Hofstra, JMU

Who I see that I question: Richmond, Penn

I like that Temple got in the IL top 20 because I think they are gonig to be a very successful team this year with a great coach. They didn't make the NCAA rankings.

You think Penn State is underrated here? They are even more underrated on the NCAA preseason rankings. I agree with you that they should be higher.

Hopkins is pretty good--the Jays return a lot of players from, a team that nearly knocked off UVa in the playoffs.

And Mary Key is awesome.

I assume Richmond is up there because of fall ball. Ranked #35 last season, but they went 5-0 during fall ball. They didn't play easy teams either, they beat UVA (9-8) who was #2 last year, V-Tech (19-5) #37, Longwood (19-8) #44, JMU (11-5) #26 and William and Mary (8-7) #23. Last year they were dominated by teams like UVA and W&M, but were able to pull it out during fall ball. Granted it's fall ball, but from going from losing 6-17 and 5-11 to 8-7 and 9-8, that's still pretty impressive.

They have a small but pretty solid team. We'll see first game though against Duke. Not to mention some of their top players are from around here, so that's a plus in my books :chuckle:

I don't know though because I always hear people say.. fall ball doesn't matter and it's just to get players playing time and experience. I'm not sure if i agree with it, but I would feel comfortable saying that their fall ball record probably won't reflect their regular season record. I'm willing to bet the outcome of those games will be different if they are played in the regular season.

am i the only one who thinks its weird that NU is second to duke... i mean i think northwestern have the best chance this year of going back to back, from what iver heard their attack is going to be as nasty, if not better than last years and they are looking great.. just my opinion.

i say duke over northwestern simply because chrest wants it BAD. she's going to be unstoppable. northwestern had their championship, and duke wants their turn.
