I took weightlifting in high school for two years and am now in college on a d2 team. i want to know if theres anythin form gnc i should be taking to enhance my workouts without sacrificing any of my conditioning. We normally workour 4 days a week, with bench, squat, deadlift, cleans, lats, ab circuit, calf raises, bicep curls and dumbell workouts. some of my teammates take protein and i was wondering how much of an effect that would make?

Man you go to a D2 school. Just ask your trainer. Common supplements however are creatine and protein

any athlete needs extra protein, any weight lifter, be they body building or power lifting needs extra protein; therefore, you need some protein. so, look into of course, getting protein. are you wanting size, strength, or just to help keep yourself at your ultimate performance level? I would suggest getting perhaps a mix of whey, soy, and egg proteins, as well as taking a multi. I dont know what you mean by enhancing workouts but lessening your conditioning; wouldnt enhancing a workout enhance your conditioning? Anyway, i would suggest, if only one supplement is avaiable (costs), a whey protein. It 'acts' fast by being easily digested and broken down to be used in repair. It is rather cheap to buy and works quite well in both size and strength. I would however, suggest buying from online sources if at all possible due to elevated costs at GNC's or any supplement store. Look into Optimum Nutrition (who's whey has won numerous awards)
Nitro tech is a very good protein shake. It works well and the chocolate actually tastes good. It costs like 70 buks a barrel though. Also, you might want to try GNC's Mens Sports supplement which is like a multivitamin and gives you energy too. And fish oil, or omega 3 fatty acids will lock protein into your muscles, improving muscle growth.
