Im a sophmorre in HS i practice alot last year but suffered an ACL injury last year before the season started.
I can go lefty almost as good as righty with a midie stick.
With a D stick i can throw the ball much farther but my cradeling sux with it.
I think i have reasonable stick skills with an atack/ midie stick but they are worse with a d stick is that normal?
Im 6'2 175 but im not that fast but i have good endurance
i bench like 185
i have to weare this beastly knee brace so my quikness is much worse now

Or you could be your teams face off man. It seems you have the stick skills, you don't need to be as quick but your reflexs and hand have to be faster. Plus with your size you can body a lot of kids.

do you like to score goals or play defense? personally I like to play defense and I don't care about scoring goals therefore defense is the correct choice for me.

What sort of a basketball player were you? Did you shoot alot? Have alot of assists? Play nasty D? What makes you feel better playing b-ball stuffing someone, breaking someones ankles on a crossover or scoring a big point? Maybe middie is a good choice if you dont want to commit to one or the other.

Basketball helps with all aspect of the game. It's the same concepts with moving the ball, keeping a spread offense, help on defense.

hey man, play what you wanna play not what other people tell you to play. don't think you should or should not play a certain position because of your size. you can try out all positions and see what you like most. jsut do what you wanna do. that is the great thing about lacrosse. almost anyone can be good at any position if they take it seriously!

i say Attack because you have to run on your Knee that much but you will a lot and I think you might be a passier kinda guy and basketball helps with that.
