How does the subbing go on in lacrosse? When my buddy used to play like 3 years ago his coach made lines like hockey, except instead of having forwards/defense like hockey, he made 3 seperate line genres, for d, attack, middy. But now im a freshmen and im gonna be playign and it seems like its more of a subbing type of deal, like if the coach see's someone performing not up to par or is getting tired and not hustling, they come out. How is it generally in lacrose, and how is it at your school?

usually, we use subs for attack and defense, and use lines for mids, but we might change one person in the line if theyre tired, etc

That's how I run my team. My face-off mid is pretty determined and will often ask to stay in especially if it means getting to beat his man on the whistle.

Well it depends on the size of your team. If its a small team, everyone learns to play together and lines are unnecesary. If its a larger team, lines may help.
