I own a harrow c1 and love it. I need new shaft and i was trying to decide between the harrow box and monster the box seems nice but the monster seems indestructable however the monster is nearly 8 onces, is this too heavy to be able to be balanced with a head?

Gigo fact: there shafts aren't that heavy, the weight is distibuted throughout the whole shaft so it feels half the weight.

Wrong man, the Monster is 10 oz., the regular Box is 8 oz. I have the Box, I have had it for a season and it doesn't look like it will be breaking any time soon. I would get the Monster though, 40 g. more of carbon graphite would make it indestructable, I'm the kind of guy that would go for durability/quality over lightness or something more likely easier to break. Plus the Monster just looks sweet. You can't go wrong either way though, Harrows are awesome.

does the box chip as much as the field attack?

Yes, the only downside to Harrows are that they chip. All of them, doesn't matter which model you get. The good thing is that they come with a 1 year warranty, and you can basically get 2 sticks for the price of 1 through that.

Monster doesn't have rubberized grip. :crying:

Harrow box is carbon graphite, and the monster is graphite/fiberglass.

Gigo fact: If there is no grip, Tape it.

yea so is the c1. by the way, the c1 in my opinion is the most under rated shaft, its as if, not more more durable than the field attack its weight isnt that bad and the only thing its missing is the rubberized grip

The howitzer doesnt chip as easily as the other harrows, and is BY FAR the best shaft harrow makes.

the monster is ruberized, just not like the original tapered shafts. its still good.

thats hard to imagine, a harrow w/o a rubber grip? Like, its easier to dogde w/, and does it just feel like a normal alloy shaft

judging by the c1 its grippier than a metal shaft, especially when its wet out

The monster is balanced. If anything it feels top heavy with my h2? But not really you just don't notice the weight. It hurts to get crosschecked by its greatness I say get it
