Are the sidewalls for the STX scandium on attack thinner than they are for a pole or are they the same?

I think they are thicker on the pole but i'm just guessing.

yeah thats what i would guess too, but i was in my local lax shop today and they only had the STX scandium attack and a brine scandium pole and they were close to the same, the STX was only just a little thinner. So i just didnt know if the Brine and STX poles were the same thickness or one is thicker than the other.

For STX I know the older scandiums had thickers walls for the d-pole and thinner for the attack.

Umm, you're comparing Brine Scandiums to STX Scandiums? Then It's completely different. Different shaft, different design. Companies vary between shaft designs.

And anyway, the STX Scandium is still a better buy, since Brine uses a very minute ammount of Scandium in their shafts
