my parents wanted me to after I broke my wrist snowboarding...But i have discovered the secret...if I say "I will, I will" enough, they forget about it after a while. Same with rib pads

I got a pair of STX Mercurys for cheap on EBay and they already had wrist pads attached to them, so I've been wearing them because I'm too lazy to take them off. They cover what already protected by my gloves, so I guess there really isn't a point to them.

I wear one of those warrior wrist guards on my right wrist. Keeps my wrist in tact when going for gb's and when using my one handed cradle (the "shield" hand)

LOL r u kidding me you play attack and you sayin you wouldnt wear pads if you didnt have to i would love to see that, and how long you would last. But anyways i have seen kids wear them and people tell me they are lifesavers. What i have found is that its just like getting hit in the ribs, its hurts a lot the first couple times and then u start tolerating the pain a lot more. In my opionion its just more unnessacary equipment.

so do you count helmets and/or gloves as pads? 'cause i'm sure some players will take a penalty for an 'accidental' hit on your head if it took you out of the game...and the bones in your hand will either be broken or in serious pain.

i dont really see a point to wrist guards i dont think they do anything b/c your gloves cover them. the only reason i use them is b/c they are attached to my freaks
