I twisted/rolled my ankle yesterday skateboarding and I have a clinic tonight and over the next few days/weeks which wil decide which team I'm on. Right now I can walk pretty good, I have to walk pretty much on my toe for the twisted foot and I look incredibly stupid when I run because it I have to like turn my foot towards my body. I'm only also running about 1/4 speed which is a problem because one of my main skils is sprinting. So any way to releive the pain quickly?

try wrapping up your ankle and take some kind of pain killers before the clinic
Always ask your parents before taking any kind of pills though

If it's just a painful strain, Anti-inflammatories, pain killers, tape, and toughness.

If it's any more serious than that, don't do anything stupid. Playing on a really bad ankle is just setting yourself up to miss the rest of the year. Suggest clearing this with a medical professional before your clinic.

Tough it out or wear an ankle brace.

not a smart idea playing on it dude. i completely understand the need to play, but i sprained my ankle during the summer, then went to lax camp a week later. because i played on a still sprained/ healing ankle, ive had 3 sprains in the past 6 months. during pre-season practices ive had to sit and watch my team from the bench. my advice is get it checked, and if ur not okay to play, dont, and explain that to the people who run the clinic. if you really want to play this season you really shouldnt play now, because it sounds like you have a sprained ankle, and once your ankle is sprained, it gonna be really weak and prone to re-injury for a while afterwards, take it from someone who knows. GO GET IT checked out, dont play until then, you will make it worse!!!!!

Alright I'm gonna go tonight and just tell my coach it's hurt and maybe be a feeder or something that doesn't involve to much running. Thanks for the help guys, I put on a ankle brace so hopefully that helps.

Yeah, I wouldn't risk anything. Making the team means nothing if your benched due to injury the whole season.

Dont play on it! I did that one to many times and I couldnt play for a long time (1 - 2 years) because any slight turn and my ankle would roll. It takes a while to build back the strength. Now I have to tape it up and ace bandage it any time I play indoors.

be sure to tell your coach about it because if he sees you sitting he'll think your being a *****. if it hurts to much to run then don't make it worse

put a long sock on, take athletic tape and tape it till you think you're gonna lose circulation. then cut it off right when you get finished playing.thats what my basketball trainer used to do, just for quick fixes.

Try doing one (1) legged squat touchdowns with your weak leg on this and touching down with your opposite hand. Don't use tape, and it should help you get your ankle stronger for the long term.
