I actually watched that movie cuz it had basketball in it but it wasn't very good unlike some disney channel movies (brink, airborne) it's kinda weird that they'd be obsessed with it. Tough break man.

omg, everyone in my school is obsessed with it too. everyone like knows all the words to the songs, and downloaded the songs to their ipod. yea i agree its a pretty stupid movie, and the songs are really annoying.

ha yeah i have heard of the movie, but no i have never seen it and the girls at my school are not obsessed w/ it...or at least the ones that i know w/ lives arent...and yeah brink was an awesome disney movie...and i cant believe you forgot johnny tsunami on that list of good disney movies...easily the best one

My 4 year old little sister did nothing but pound this crap into my brain. She used to spend hours on the site watching little clips and Disney channel is the only thing ever on the family TV, so I do know what you are talking about. It is annoying as hell

I don't understand the appeal of it either.

It hasn't taken over my school, but a lot of my chick friends have been obsessed with it. We were watching the NFC Championship game ( :crying: ) and they kept switching it back to the disney channel to see if 'High School Musical' was on...I saw about three minutes of it before football was back on. The chicks were like, screaming over how 'hot' this dude was. He looked gay (seriously).

Disney Channel has been putting out a lot of crap lately. The comedies have really gone downhill... What happend to the days when they used to play Even Stevens or Boy Meets World? The movies have gone pretty downhill too. After watching High School musical I can conclude that some of the girls looked decent and the crappy lyrics of the songs were all accompanied by even crappier dancing...

well i realized it...i was at a house and we were supposed to be watching this movie and then they were flipping through channels and it was on...i have seen the last 20 minutes of this movie and i really think it brainwashes girls...they loved it...they guys were all just kind of looking around at each other to see if we can steal the remote from the girl who had it...it finally ended and we watched the movie

Lol when I was sick I watched it, except in the sing along version so all the words came up on the screen. Of course I HAD to sing, because I mean seriously, It was the sing along. Check it out next monday, I just checked it out, Next monday 7:00 central time. They played it for like 5 days straight. Btw, Johnny Tsunami is like seriously my favorite movie ever

Pretty basic formula -- I just don't get it.

There is a romantic interest -- the kid's crush is the leading female role of the musical and so he wants to score with her but lead his team. . .

Basically it is the lacrosse game vs. jazz ensemble scene from American Pie watered down, and stretched beyond human ability into a full movie.

Yes That is the same exact thing at my school! What the hell. They have seen it like 80000000000000 times. Some girls in my chemistry class brough in the song and started dancing to it.
