View Full Version : What position for me...
I'm 16, 6 feet tall, and i weigh 160lbs. I'm very fast and some of the quickest feet on my team. I can catch and throw consistantly with both hands and can run around most people. I've been playing for a month now and i'm feeling like i'm jsut getting the hang of things. I'm also extremely aggressive while keeping a level head and i'll never back down from a ground ball. I've played hockey for 6 years so i have a very good "head on a swivel" deal.
I'm not terrible with a dpole but i'm currently using a short stick. What should i play?

i would suggest midfeild. its good to be fast and good stamina, and you have to be very good at ground balls, which it sounds like you are if you wont back down.

yea, you sound like a natural middie, good stick skills, and good endurance. go for midfield.

Middie def. if you are as fast as you say you are.
any thoughts on long stick middie? What do LSM's do differently? [other than have a pole]. I never really learned the concept of them so could someone explain it to me?

long stick middies, sub in on the fly for a middie when the otehr team gets the ball just so that you have 4 dpoles on defense instead of 3. and then they sub back out once your team regains the ball again.

Yeah, I'd say d-middie or LSM, depending on which size shaft you prefer. A good GB man is always loved by coaches, and being aggressive while staying in control of your emotions is a great trait for a defensive minded player.
