I really can't see this happening, However i can see this guy getting pwned by the Spilina bros and Greg Cattrano when Korea plays Italy.
Eh so he's 17 Hong Kong had a 16 year old at the 02 world games, And 18 years olds have played for Australia at the worlds.

Tryouts are over. They were held last summer.
And faceitoff, i'm korean, but mrmccool is right.
I called the coach and I could've basically walked on to the team. They had one goalie ( I play goal ) and they were giving everyone who wanted to try out f15's and beginner heads.
At a national level team I would hope that you have your own stick....

Yeah... dude lots of koreans in the US could have tried out for the team, but they were only going to take one non passport holder. I'm going to try out for the u19 team and will be playing for KLA this summer and school term

First of all, Korea and Italy aren't in the same division, so they won't even play. Obviously Korea is not a power house, a good High school team from N.Y. would man handle them. I saw them play in Osaka last year, they suck.

Well I'm not amazing but i've had high school experience will a pretty good team and i'll be in my second year in college so as far as my experience, I'll be pretty far off. Plus being able to study abroad and playing with KLA players will only help.
Being 19, finished high school and almost done with college, plus having played under some honestly awesome coaches, many of who have national championship rings and all will only help me in trying out.
If you are interested in trying out I would suggest, Lifting, running, and practice like crazy. Korean wants the best players it can get so getting in great condition will only help. Plus some advice from Kyle Harrison, play other sports. Learn to enjoy athletics in general, not only lacrosse. It will only help out in your training because it'll help build overall athleticism

Yeah I heard from my friend who is a Korean lacrosse player who decided not to try out that because of new strict rules a lot of their players became inneligible. Like he said that only so many greencard holders could be on the team so this took away most of the guys who are very legitimate NCAA and MDIA players. Sounded like a big hit for the team to take. Good luck to Korea this summer though.

I heard it was only korean citizens/passport holders.
But like camthrax said, this basically cut off every decent korean player that could've played for the team.
And camthrax, good to see another bape head on TLF  :agree:

I heard Team Korea has a last try-out in March, they don't have enough players so they are looking for about 4 or 5 more, including 2 non passport holders, they have 2 already, that's what my Korean friend said. Get in contact with them if you wanna try out, I wish I was Korean cause, if they don't even have enough players, should be easy to make the team.

team korea's toughest match & probably with historical emnities will be
Team korea Vrs. Team Japan.
The Japanese most likely will be a physically smaller team, than the team korea- more like korean-american team- unless they got guys related to matsui(Yankees) or Ichiro(seattle).
I think the toughest team, the Japanese have faced are the Iroquios nationals.
Off topic anyone know if this will be televised?

trying to make an international team isnt so easy...
just cause its korea and lacrosse isnt a dominant sport there doesnt mean its easy...you have to be gooddd.

Not really. I play goal and I could have basically walked on the team. Tryouts were over by the time I arrived at korea, and I called the coach. He said they had one goalie and that that tryouts were over, but he said he'd let me come.
If half the team is using f15's and entry level heads....

Say what are the new requirements? Has the Inerlax fe made it harder for lets say Korean-Americans to join team Korea, heck even olympic teams can comprise of American immigrants.
Or is it team Korea that has decided to enforce stricter rules?
Curious.
Let's go Team Korea!

He was bad. ***. Badass. I borrowed armpads from the "team stash" and he just took them off my arms, grunted, and told me that they were his. And he blew smoke in my face. (Just kidding about the blowing smoke in my face.) But I have never been so intimidated in my life. He was pretty good, (decent, I guess) but he subbed himself out every ten minutes.
Crap. Double post.

This kid is a joke, my entire team lit him up when we played New Hope-Solebury (18-5). Korea is probably going to do quite poorly if this is all they have to offer.
gees that's kinda harsh...if u were 17 and korean, and love lax like this guy does wouldn't you try out also? so the korean team isn't great...we know that already cos they're in a lower division

so im guessing you made it? and i read that as long as your parents were born in Korea you can still try out. Was the U-19 team that bad bro?

Yes, they were wearing Team Korea jerseys, but don't be fooled... they were not the real Team Korea. Maybe their jerseys should've had J.V. on them. You might've had an outside chance of making that team though.. a reach, but still a chance.
