There was an even better thread about books a while ago.

Somebody reccomended Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose. I'm reading that now, and it's freaking awesome.

Yup. And Tom Clancy
Yes they are.

Freakonomics by .. well, I can't remember the authors, but still.
Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
1984 - George Orwell
Please Don't Kill The Freshman - Zoe Trope
High Fidelity - Nick Hornby (turned into a movie starring John Cusack. Hornby also wrote About A Boy, which was made into the movie of the same name.)
King Lear and/or Hamlet - Shakespeare

yeah. I like books. I also love magazines. And newspapers. And I love that my journalism classes make newspapers required reading. If you're looking for a fun, light read that'll really make you think (and provide you with great conversation fodder), look into Freakonomics. The man is insane.
