So i've forced myself to browse with it, and wow, I honestly did not think that my faith in Firefox would be restored.
First, the UI changes are so completely utterly stupid. Having the stop button and refresh button on the right side of the URL bar? Oooookay. But making it the default and uncustomizable? Thats just plain idiotic. The toolbars on the second row are also unecessary and hiding the menu (called classic here) is just stupid.
On the performance front, my Firefox install (1.5) with at least 24 extensions cold starts faster than IE7, surfs faster than IE7 (even to cached webpages). Its just sad. It still has terrible web design support. The "anti-phishing" tools and the forced installation of the "remove malware" tool, just frustrates me even more.
Honestly: Get IE7 for the patches, but get Opera or Firefox otherwise.
