does heavier weights increase your speed? Lifting for your legs that is, like squats, leg extentions, and calf press.

wrist curls you can do with like a thing of wood and the put strings down from the wood but wieghts on it and useing your wrist curl spin the wood so the rope rabs around thats one way to do them

perfect ...my kinda thread heres where you can get a look at each exercise

for strength I like to use the big 3 lifts which are Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift although the Military press is important to.

for speed i like to combine those lifts with explosive training or olympic lifts. I like to do Power Cleans alot since theyll increase your speed and start speed like crazy and dont forget your jump goes up big time.

put these 2 together and you have a great strength program. PM if you want and ill send you the entire thing i do.

whats the fastest way to lose weight?? running right?...also is jump rope better than ladder for quickness??

Lose weight or lose fat, there's a difference. The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic activity, running, biking, jump roping, etc. Antyhing that gets your heart rate into the target range for 30 minutes at a time. Nutriotin is also key to fat loss. I've lost 50 pounds in 6 months by cutting out refined sugar (and by correlation, soft drinks), and eating more fish and lean meats, less breads, more fruits. It's the same tried and true theory on weight loss but it works, garbage in equals garbage out. And honestly, fat % is a better measure of fitness than weight. Weight is just a number which, by itself, tells you little in comparison to overall healthy or fitness. BMI is a fancy index you can calculate but it does nothing to tell you your fitness; in fact, it is downright wrong for very musuclar ppl.

As for quickness, it's not a matter of what's "better", just what you prefer to do, what you have equipment for, and what type of skills you want to do. Personally, I jump rope and I also run the agility drills from football, in and out of strung ropes and stuff cuz for the moment, teh HS has them set up and I use that stuff.
