well like i tried to read the rulebook but im not shure what they are talking about it like in the case of out of bounds like i played soccer so is i a throw in or what do u do it's not a throw in, basicly your given possesion and no one can be within 5 yards of you untill you move or pass or what ever. it is very diff in that there are some issues with who gets possesion, it's not always based on the last person to touch the ball.

im thinking about dying my stick rastafari but what do u guys think???
if that does it for you, sure. check the stick doctor forum for more info

You need to catch some lacrosse on TV so you can see the basic fundamentals.

Agree with Snake - there's too much to cover to give a tutorial on here. Once you start playing on the field you'll quickly pick up the flow of the game. Whenever there's a whistle, Officer Friendly in the b+w stripes will be positioning you in the proper place.
My advice if you are a new player - work on your individual stick skills. Throwing against a wall is great practice catching, cradling and releasing quickly. Most important, if you're playing attack or midfield - WORK BOTH HANDS!! A one-handed player is the greatest relief to a defender - they'll overplay your stick side and cause you all kinds of grief. If you are equally adept going the other direction you have a huge advantage...

Basic lacrosse cannot be taught, just learned. Go out and play for a while. Be sanguine that you're a beginner and be good natured about getting schooled for a few weeks. Once you have a foundation, we'd be happy to clarify the fine points of the rules for you.

Check out some videos and try to catch some games on t.v. or locally. Try the videos on E-Lacrosse (www.e-lacrosse.com) and as soon as the site gets going u can use Inter-Lax (http://inter-lax.com/home/)

p.s. dyeing a stick and all that before u can even play a game, may not be the best idea. Learn the game than worry about style on the field. Start with a wide enough "beginner head" to help develop skills easier

welcome aboard and welcome to a great sport. One of my assistant coaches had a shirt that said, "Lacrosse; if it was easy they'd call it soccer." But really, get some videos. Buy a dcent stick not a GREAT stick. Learn the basics of cradling, catchin, throwing. Your soccer skills and field sense will help. Go to laxlinks.com and surf around! Good luck.
