Okay, this my opinion, don't take it to account but it might be helpful. When getting a shaft and head, only worry about the shaft. A few god shafts I think are the Kryptolyte, STX Titanium, and Titan Pro. There are alot more but I do not feel like listing them all. The Harrow Defensive shaft is a wonderful stick but it is set at a high price that I can not afford till summer when I get a job. The head on the other hand is all preference. There is no such thing as a "good" head. One player may LOVE a stick while another player of equal skill will hate the exact same head. The key to your stick is the pocket! The pocket is the most personalized part of a players game and can never be mimic'd by any other player. Yes, you may have the same mesh as a player, but the tuning of your shooting strings, sidewalls, and whatnot makes the pocket in your stick YOUR pocket. So really, just worry about the shaft and the pocket. You could buy an EDGE and be just as happy as someone who has bought a Matrix or Finalizer, etc.

a edge is a good defense head...ud b better off with an edge then with a finalizer or matrix. For a head, you want a stiff head for poke checks and you want a stick with a nice scoop for getting ground balls. My recommendations for defense heads...Wizard, X2, Profile, and I use a g-force. For a shaft, you just want something strong doesn't make a huge differance. The harrow shaft is super strong and won't bend on you. I use a kryptopro and it bends somewhat easy but is crazy lite so i still like it a lot. Try and get the lightest strong stick you can find...I'd recommend any warrior ti shaft, brine f55, or the harrow defense. As far as pockets go, I like the revolving doerr but if your goin with that your better off ordering it from e-lacrosse because it is real hard to string. Other then that dura mesh works just fine nothing special is really needed on defense. CHECK OUT THE DEFENSE FORUM FOR MORE OPPINIONS ON SHAFTS, HEADS, ETC.

^^^^^^ my little plug for the defense forum lol

wizard is quite possibly the worst d head ever. the scoop is the worst out there. and unless you can catch like an attackman leave the g force to them. vapor, x2, profile, proton, edge, matrix, and revo are the best.

In addition to the above, I really love my Bionic.

the vapor sucks. It bends like a twig on every poke. Get a good Bionic or Revolution

And my opinion is that your crazy! I think the Wizard is a great defense head. Everyone who I know that has/does use it loves it.

I strongly reccomend the Wizard. If not that head, the Profile, Proton, Edge, and X2 are also good choices.

For defense, you wanta stiff, strong head. I would go with: Bionic, X2, Profile, Turbo(they dont make them anymore, but they rock), or Revolution.

The Harrow D shaft is amazing. It's so light that you barely know it's long. I used one this weekend and it was the most amazing thing I've ever used for D. I've had titanium and I've bent one in a day. Then, I bent it in the middle and couldn't even cut it to attack length. Harrow are pricey, but definately worth the money.
