I was wondering if IL would take some suggestions for articles. The retirement of Jack Emmer really hit me last season. Having had the pleasure of meeting him on several occasions and getting to hear him speak about his passion for coaching and the role of a coach in a young man's life, it really struck me that to some extent we tend to lose the coach in the mix of things sometimes. I'd love to see IL do some in depth profiles of some of the game's top coaches, past and present, not only from a biographical point of view, but to a philosphical point of view, not just X's and O's but the other side of coaching. I think it would make for a great series. Maybe start with Jack Emmer, then somebody like Sid Jamieson, who just retired after a wonderful and long career at Bucknell. Focus on the coaches who not only coached the game but created a legacy within it. I think it would be really cool.

this is a great idea. I would like an article about scouting, and how it works in lacrosse. I hope it hasn't been done and i missed it.

they did somehting kind of like that^ in the latest issue. They talked about recruiting and recruiting camps

I like this idea the mods should turn it into a sticky for constant suggestions to IL, becaues after all they do own it right, as long as people make good requests i think it will be a good idea, this thread seems to be going in a good direction, plus maybe its just me but i dont like writing mail to companies like that.

Also this has probably been done before, as it seems like a fairly obvious idea, but I missed it. Possibly doing a review of like the top 15 or 20 summer camps. There could be different categories, for example doing them by region, by age, by coaching staff, by scouting opportunities, etc. It seems pretty timely though, as people are beginning to think a lot about summer camps now, and especially by next issue...

I would like to see an article of the players before the game like in the locker room and what not.
