I have the Shock Doc Braces and its huge. It fits fine, but I cant breath as well and I get tired out way quicker and I can ttalk well in it. Does anyone know of a mouthguard that will work with braces, lets you speak well and breath well?

Maybe one custom made by your dentist or orthodontist.

cut the ends until it fits comfortably.

You should trim up the places where excess plastic are restricting your breathing/talking. Just use scissors.

I fully agree. Custom fit is the way to go. They fit snug and breathing is not a problum. Plus they dont cost you anything.

Just get one of the really cheap ones, and make it extra huge. Its great. I can breath and talk almost as if I wasn't wearing one.

My Ortho said it would be about 50 bucks and I would need a new one often. I get my braces off soon, so I wont have to deal wit it too long.
