Any wow players? I just recently got into it and ive got to say its pretty cool. I dont usually play mmorpg's but i really like it. If anyone else plays what server are you on and what character do you use?
Im on Eredar and I have a level 5 Paladin, but im going to get up to 10 soon hopefully.

Kids on my team play it for entire days, im not at that point yet. Im by far no nerd but i really like it, its a good break from halo.

Haha, I play with a bunch of friends, so its not entirely demoralizing. I've been playing for about a year, although I just recently got back into it. I'm not nearly as serious of a player as I used to be (school, girlfriend, job changed this), its just a good time killer for me.

I got a 49 mage on Eldre'Thalas and a 29 rogue on Firetree.

Hmm... The only thing I know about warcraft is the kids who play it get beat down by defenders because they didn't spend enough time practicing LACROSSE!!! No just kidding. In my middle school years I played Ages of Empires and Empire Earth, but the whole monster thing never really caught on with me.

yeah i play empire earth sometimes. you can get like nukes and stuff. i dont try and beat campaigns or anything. i just nuke everybody.

also does anyone play Starsiege:tribes? its like an online shooter. sometimes its pretty fun if you find the right game in it. like they have foot ball and all snipers and stuff. i dont play that much but my cousin likes it so he'll log on on our other computer and we just blow each other up

Same with me, I play with kids on the lax team. Its cool when theres 5 people in your party who you know and can just mess around with. Although it sucks when they are levels: 32. 33, 53, and 54 and your only a level 5, :OMG:

I shoot people in the head with guns, not fairy dust. :) I dislike fantasy games, I prefer games that take tweak skill. MMORPGs are the easiest genre next to sports games. Real time strategy games are awesome though, they make ya think.

Definatly, I agree with the RTS games. I was HUGE on Starcraft and Warcraft 2 and 3 back in the day.

I used to play a few MMOs, and I can say that while WoW is one of the most attractive at first, its extremely shallow and gets boring and repetitive pretty quick. When I play an MMO I like story line and a lot of Player vs. Player action, and in WoW you can't even compete in PvP UNLESS you're level 60. Not to mention there's no storyline to speak of.
WoW is quite flashy, but take it from somebody who played Warcraft 1, 2, and 3 and enjoyed them all...its a let down.
I do play Warcraft 3 on the weekends with a couple of my buds though. Me and my friend Will were ranked in the top 300 on the 2v2 ladder for a while.

You deffinetaly cannot play any quality games on a Mac, you need a PC with a pentium 4 or higher or the Athlon series and a quality video card like a ATI Radeon series with 256Mb of onboard memory. Also invest in some memory(DDR).

i hate to admit it, but my friend set me up with a free trial.....and it's pretty damn cool. unless you take it reall really really seriously, 'cuz that's just weird. but if you just remember that it's a normal gmae and treat it as such, you should be able to avoid negative monikers and the stigma generally attached to MMORPGs. im a dwarf. i have a pet bear named Berenstein. it's pretty pimp.

i personally havnt played it for the reason that you have to pay more than once. i stick to more games like counterstrike/source, day of defeat/source, and the ship. the closest i get to WoW is with a cs mod.

one of the things i dislike very much on those online games where you can talk to other people is that every other second one person is calling the other a "n00b", "nub", and or some curse word that follows. theres nothing stopping you, but i just want to punch that person in the face sooooooo very badly. when i used to play halo 2 online i'd hear kids no older then 10 just repettively (sp?) scream noob nob noob noob nub ha ha you suck !!!!! omg i just no-scoped you in the face!!!! theres talking so people say what ever they want, and theres nothing you can do about it. the best you could do was "fight" them one v one in the game, but that doesnt solve to much. and then theres the cheaters...its sad when you feel the need to cheat to win against other people in a FREAKIN VIDEO GAME!!!!!. may God have mercy on their souls........

Well the only games I really play are counterstrike every now and then (well I used to but it messed up the computer so I deleted it). But when I was like in 5th grade or something (either 4th or 5th) I remember I was obssesed with this game called Runescape which I assume is somewhat like WOW. Like this obssesion was seriously not healthy, I'd stay home on weekends and turn down plans with friends just to level up in the game. Sometimes I'd stay up late playing it, go to sleep, dream about it, then get up early in the morning to play it again. It was extremely weird. My advice- don't get too attached to any video game. Take it like a game.

The Halo 3 and WoW communities are totally different. Halo doesn't have nearly as many nerds. WoW just hit 40 million, not even half for halo.
