Hey,
Im looking for some help with my brine nitrous/stx titanium combo. Every time i bump it against something, there is a large amount of vibration. Even on groundballs the head hitting the ground causes very noticable amounts of annoy vibration. I was wondering if this is just because the head is kind of flimsy or what? thanks for your help

The head is loose on the shaft? Or the entire stick just vibrates?

maybe its all in your head and its really just in need of some tape on the end of the shaft and then wedge the head on the shaft. I could be wrong though.

well my guess would be that since the shafts edges are kinda round and the head has a hole for a diff shaft with sharper edges and they just vibrate when u hit sumthing? i dunno just a guess

maybe its ball rattle, maybe pinch the head to reduce that, not really sure on your problem though.

what kind of butt end do you have? is it open at the end? i have one that is open and the whole stick vibrates. tape it up and see if anything is different.

Instead of everyones comments u could just buy a brine shaft and the whole thing probably would not rattle anymore.

tape the shaft then put the head on then put tape over the head, and make sure that the butt end of the stick is covered and not open

whenever i have something like this it's always because of a bad screw.

im gonna say that the head and shaft are so well fitting that when the head hits anything
it directly puts it to the shaft and so it vibrates cause there both just so freaking solid. =)

:WTF: really :WTF:
my edge used to rattle on my pole i had to make a new hole in the shaft because the head would vibrate. Try that or maye find a thicker screw but otherwise thats wierd, and ironic cause the stx Ti in the description says "One piece seamless tube construction for vibration-free power and precision" i guess tahts b.s.

thicker screw... ok thanks. ive got it taped down, and screwed in. it continues to vibrate. and its not ball rattle. its not even strung.
edit- ok i think ive figured it out. i got a thicker screw and it helped a little bit. but i think there is more vibration just because the nitrous is quite flimsy and is therefore more likely to vibrate when checked, so it just transfers vibration to the shaft. i can live with it(as long as it doesnt affect strength or anything) thanks for all your help.

what is head rattle??? is the head like loose?? put some tape on the shaft where the head slides on the put the head on for a tighter fit

Step 1. Take the head off.
Step 2. Wrap a couple of layers of tape around the top inch of the shaft where the head was put on.
Step 3. Jam the head back on, making sure you don't just shove the tape further down the shaft. make sure the tape is under the head (throat). After this, you really wouldn't even need a screw, but still put one in.
Get it?

ive done that over and over with more tape like 6 times, i swear to god lol. i finally had so much tape on it i couldnt (with my manly muscles of course ) get the head back on. its something to do with the heads flexibility.

Drill a tighter hole into the shaft. Thats what I did and it helped.

I know exactly what you're talking about. That happened with my Vapor.
My advice would be to get a new head? :-/

i had a nitrous on a c405 with the same problem, have you drilled another hole for it or are you placing the nitrous through the stx screw hole? if not, drill another hole it should help.

i dont think it really matters if it vibrates.....even if it does its probly only for a second....

a tiny strip of tape will do it.... i had this problem and the thin tape fixed it up.. another question... is your screw coming out during play?
