so my brilliant self thought up this brillian idea to kind of review and chat about the most recent issue of IL after it comes out. this way, thought can be share in one consoladated thread. i think we should try to do this for every issue.

this issue (featuring Kristen Kjellman of Northwestern on the cover) mainly focuses on preseson rakings and such for the womens season.

share any any of ur own brilliant thoughts about this past issue here.

and remember, the editors of IL are watching.

I was dissapointed that the majority of the magazine focused in on women's lacrosse. However, I was still able to find some very enjoyable articles on men's lacrosse and even ventured into the world of women's lacrosse by reading a few of those articles. Overall, another very good issue.

i was also disappointed with the overwhelming amount of womens lacrosse in there, but i did learn alot about their different players and such. the mens articles were great especially the one focusing in on the old box team (philly?) id have to agree with atacklax though, another great issue.

I thought the magazine was great - far too many times the women seem to be relegated to a minor discussion, so it was nice to see them take center stage for once (and this coming from a former men's college lax player). The women playing to day are such great athletes that they should be given equal time and if they are not profiled, how will the girls who play have something to look up to? Eventhough most lax men do not recognize their game, some of the women who played are a pure joy to watch.

I think it's fair to have this be a womens lacrosse issue. Every single other issue is men's, women would like to read up on their sport too.

And I thought the interview with Colbert was hilarious.

I don't know about the women's issue for basically the opening issue of the season. I would have much preferred a layout similar to the women's ratings, but for men. Also, there was a lot of focus on box lacrosse, rather than field. In the southeast, it seems as is if box lacrosse is basically non-existant. On a last note, I would have really enjoyed some player profiles. I saw the one about the 74-75 MD player, but I'm not going to lie, veterans of the game are not my key interest. All in all, the writing was of mediocre quality. This was the first issue of IL that I have ever picked up and read, so I will be sure to read the next one as well, in hopes for something more to my liking. I don't want to sell you short though IL. Hypothetically, if I had to do an issue focused on women's lacrosse, I don't think I could have done any better.

Girl-on-cover=HOT! thats the only thing i like about WLAX. its to confusing. its like feild hockey, but in the air. way to many rules. I say suit them up in full pads and let them play. I know some girls who want that.

Sorry. I didn't know I couldn't comment about good photography.
sry, but if u think that the best part of the mag was the pic of the girl on the front, wow, u have no life. and if thats all u said about it or cared about enough to read, wow again.

Well i read the whole magazine pretty much and even some of the womans. It gave me a little more respect for the womans game and also they deserve a woman's issue once in a while it gives the magazine a broader audience
