Ok,so today one of my teammates comest to school with his evo pro that was just strung over at the only so cal lax store and i decided to try and replicate it.I had some materials lying around and an unstrung head,so this is what I ended up with.
Please remember this is only my second traditional variation and it was done from memory. With that being said, all criticism and advice will be appreciated.

I still haven't learned all the knots so the quality looks a little sketchy, but I just tested it out in my backyard and it seems to work well.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

i can't see the knots too well. it's a cool concept and i like it. the saddle looks a little sketchy thought, but the pics don't show it very well.

I just finished it,so I haven't been able to test it out too much, but I will see how it works tomorrow in practice. Also,if you want better pics of anything I can get those up tomorrow too.I'm probably gonna redo the saddle because I was in a rush to finish it.Right now it kind of has two seperate saddles on the last mesh diamond that combine into one.Well that was a really confusing sentance.I'm giving up for now.

hmm, usually the leathers are put in the mesh with a weave but its kind of a neat idea like that...tell us how it works out!

Its nice but I have one recommendation. You should try to find a way to connect the leathers to the mesh because it is possible that the pocket will shift since its not completely secured. You can cut little holes in the leather and run a string through it and the mesh or you can weave the leather. I just think that after a week it might start to tweak on you and throw off target

just a few things that i noticed, i would prolly weave the leathers into the mesh. also i would use hard mesh, it just works a little bit better, ya kno with a little less whip. also try and get those red crosslace strings a little higher towards the scoop. it helps if u run it through the little hole where the leathers overlap themselves. but the pocket looks great, kinda a mix between a RP and a mesh X. Keep experimenting it is definatly a good idea

I just got home from practice and it was throwing a little too whippy for my tastes...I'm gonna move around some of the middle parts and see how it works out. Newer more detailed pics will be up sometime soon.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

Updated pictures.I just ate dinner then went outside to try it out. From just throwing around and a little shooting it seems to be working really well, but I will give it a full test on sunday.

I redid the middle red laces from below the shooter down and now it looks cleaner and throws better. Also,I think this time the saddle came out a little better.

ok the3 only problem i can forseee is that you did not run the leathers through the mesh. check out stylinstrings.com for what im talkin about.
