Or go talk to your guidance counselors. I bet they know more than 99% of the people here.

accounting major
i was so bored by it that i needed a 2nd major in systems management just to stay awake.
if you wanna be a cpa, save your college dough and take a good cpa prep course. you'll spend 10% of the money, get it done in 1/5 time and be better prepped for real world.

you can't take the cpa exam without a college degree and a certain amount of accounting credits. After you pass it, you're considered a cpa canadite. You have to take a few more classes above and beyond what you'd get with an undergrad degree, which is why a Masters of Accountancy degree isn't bad. I plan on going for mine next year. Most get their undergrad and then go right into a MAcc program, it usually only takes a year if you already have an acct degree. If you majored in something else it might take a year and a half to two. I agree with Kev, USC has a great business school and great accounting professors. PM me if you want to hear more...

The problem is that all states have their own requirements to be a CPA, but with a MAcc you'll be pretty much able to be a CPA in any state.
