Whip on a goalie stick

My friend plays goalie and doesn't really know how to fix his stick. he has 12d with 4 rolled shooters un spaced, about 2 or 3 diamonds down from the lip. i was wondering if you had any suggestions on how he could take some of the whip out of his stick.

You can make your pocket a little smaller, space the shooters out, and add a tight nylon at the very top. Or you could undo the knots of your shooters (but don't take them out) and go throw against a wall or something until it throws how you want. Then simply tie the shooters back up without tightening or loosening them any more.

If you can get pics that would help a lot. But make sure that where the shooters start the pocket gradually gets smaller. If it's too sudden then it will have more whip. The bottom shooter should be a bit loose and the top one really tight. Making the pocket smaller will help if he's willing to do that.

i have also found that if u put more shooters right next to eachother it allows for a very smooth whip free realease (i suggest rolled shooters), but the whip can be multiple problems,

some ideas

1-thers a lip- add nylon tighten top
2-strings too loose near scoop- tighten them :idea:
3-sidewalls are too loose- tighten it :idea:
4-mesh is sliding- redo sidewall (maybe with interlocking)
5- shooters are too tight and not gradual release
6-just add more shooters above the ones he has
7- if all fails get traditonal hard mesh
